Love the patio atmosphere here- wine was very good, food was delicious! We ordered two appetizers (margherita flatbread and the crab artichoke dip). Both were fantastic! The only bad thing about our entire evening was the chain smoker seated next to us on the patio- I recognized that this city is the hub of the American tobacco industry but it was disheartening to have their smoke intermingling with our food and drinks.
Review Source:Continuing my nostalgia tour of Winston-Salem, my mind wanders back to 6th & Vine, a dreamer of a restaurant that when grounded in their less adventurous items, is a sure-fire way to spend a fun evening with friends. The drink selection, both beer and wine, is impressive in the context of the so-called "Dash."
To be fair, not everything on the menu at 6th & Vine is a home run. Their chef's' creativity can get the better of them, but when it comes to some of their staples - their baked brie and their salads, for example - it's a consistently satisfying meal. There's also their selection of sandwiches and soups, which for the most part, are excellent.
6th & Vine is a very solid 4-star restaurant. Well-above mediocrity but below 5-star wonderment, I see 6th & Vine being a long-term heavy-hitter in downtown Winston-Salem. Grab a bottle of red wine and the baked brie as you scan over the panini and salad selection, eyes wide, stomach grumbling.
