The Tap at West End

Awesome staff and great group of regulars (except for the really annoying Iowa fan named Michael L haha).  Drinks are very reasonably priced and the bartenders are quite good at what they do.  A good bar is all about atmosphere and service and it doesn't get better than The Tap.  If you're ever in Winston Salem, I highly recommend stopping in this neighborhood gem.

It's a bare-bones bar, but they're good at what they do. The inside has a clean, modern feel that reminds me of places in Dallas. It's by no means pretentious though, and I always seem to enjoy the music, which tends to be pop through the decades. They have a few tall tables, a few couches, and a couple flat screen TVs. Also, there's a patio for warm summer nights. I think they have a good group of regulars, which seem to be comprised of Wake students and yuppies (or at least young people), and a friendly staff. It's worth a visit.
