Reviewing purely as a wedding reception location. Â I have attended one here as a guest and had my own here in 2010. Â It is nice because the facility itself is gorgeous and will impress your family and guests. Â The ballroom is beautiful and large enough to handle food stations, cake area, multiple bars, and plenty of sitting room, as well as support a DJ or band on stage for the large dance floor. Â The columns are beautiful. Â Ask them to hang the white sheets from the ceiling and columns and shoot jelly lights in any color you choose to create a wonderful ambiance. Â Because it is in Downtown there are two hotels across the street for out of town guests. Â They will handle all your decorating, food, etc. Â You are really only responsible to bring a cake, flowers, and band or DJ. Â Because of this it makes for ease of planning. Â The food was good. Â The shrimp and grits in cocktail glasses was amazing (people still talk about it). Â The chocolate fountain was not working correctly which no one really cared about but was noticed and disappointing. Â Ask them to cut it on earlier to heat up properly if you use it. Â Greg is great to work with but very busy and not as detail oriented as some people may like. Â I loved him but TYPE A personalities may want to stay on top of things and check in with him regularly. Â Â Ask for a tasting, he does it right. Â This is a fun place to have good food and cut loose on the dance floor. Â Your guests will like it because they can hit the town when it is over if they choose. Â It is a bit pricey but well worth it for the location, photo ops, and ease of planning. Â Overall we had the best night of our lives!
