Watauga Farm Diner

Comment:  This diner is really in Valle Crucis, not Banner Elk.  The address may be Banner Elk (not unusual), but if you went there, say especially from the Boone area, you'd have to go several miles back to get to the Farm Diner.  It's right near the Mast Store, which, of course, is in Valle Crucis.

P.S. I haven't gone there yet, but I just gave my spouse an order to bring me back a sandwich as he'll be in the area shortly.

This place really impressed me. I had one of the best hamburgers. It was a thick one too and the ground meat had been mixed with onions. Really good flavor. The onions rings on the other hand were not soo good. They had a very reasonably priced menu and BBQ which I almost grabbed from the table next to me.
