After a busy day in the mountains, we had a quest for a good draft beer. Local magazine led us to Appalachian Mountain Brewery and what a great time we had!! Â I love IPA's so I was very happy with the two choices they had. The Long Leaf was delicious! Â I was a little reluctant to try the Double IPA because of the 9% alcohol, but it was so doggone good !!!! Â I had a taster and I was sold!! Â My husband was more adventurous than I was in trying other beers (once you've had an IPA nothing else tastes right)! Â He loved the wheat beer and the Honey Badger ! Â They are great summer beers.
The staff is extremely friendly. The brewery is a perfect place to stop off and enjoy a great craft beer! Â It is a huge plus for Boone!! Â We will definitely go back every time we are in the High Country!
Yes I am a fan for sure. They have a wide selection of brews and display what is available on a key ring that tells you a bit about the particular beer and its alcohol content. Lots of tables for sitting with friends. Great place for families and students and even us old folks. When the Feastie Boy Food Truck is parked out back it is a plus for sure. Nice interior. Also wine available if you have a friend in your party who does not drink beer. nice bathrooms! These people do it right.
Review Source:While visiting Blowing Rock this past weekend we stopped by the Brewery. Tucked away behind the two story Wendy's is this rustic hangout for adults of all ages. There was corn hole outside and inside was a ton of seating at tables and at the bar. For $1 you can get a can of Peanuts to snack on. We tried a flight and I really liked 5 out of the 8 beers I had, which is very good. Everyone has their own taste when it comes to beer.
I can't say how much the flight cost as I was not the one to settle the bill, but their prices didn't look much different from the countless other breweries we've visited.
If you're in the area make it a point to stop by and support this local Brewery!
