I used to work here, in fact, it was my first job. It was a blast working there and the high employee morale showed its self in quality of the food, although the menu was small. But then again, this was back in 2001, when TK99 would do live shows from the outside deck. Since then it has changed hands a few times and most of the wait staff/ bartenders/ bar backs (me) left. Although, I don't like the price and portion change of the wings, they're still very, VERY, good. I would say, go with a friend and during the summer, (winter time is very boring, just a normal bar and grill) and order 40 of those bad boys and munch away. that's the only way to get your money's worth. Last I knew, they had all the regular beer, nothing special. I'm very partial to Rolling Rock, when it comes to cheep beer, and they had them in the short neck bottles, which is something you don't see much of any more.

Brief summary: looking for a local bar? they have it. looking for a seated serve american restaurant? they have it. looking for a great view of the bridge and water? they have the best.

7:30pm reservation on a Thursday evening.

First visit to the restaurant, was visiting for dinner and cigars with a group of friends.

Don't be deterred by the name, the location is divided into what I would consider three main areas the tavern/local bar with dinning room, the outside deck: seated serve, and a second bar all the way on the end half covered and half open air. The far bar seems to collect some smokers which is acceptable because it is far enough away not to bother anyone in the seated section.

The place a tiki feel to it, however the the menu is a bit more complicated. Drink menu is very simple, and the dinner menu starts with a bunch of seafood/ American style cuisine. They had a whole page of handwritten dinner specials which included 2-4-1 steamed clams, and a crab-stuffed shrimp options.

I had the buffalo chicken sandwich, mediocre at best but honestly everything else I tried has fantastic, clams were cooked perfectly, I tried the escargot which was on point, and the fries were fresh and delicious. I think I was the only person who didn't order fish, or mussels and all of looked amazing, generous portions, and the guys loved it.

We had Mallory as our server, she was kind, knowledgable and available anytime we needed her; thank you very much.

Music played till 9:00pm, and we were kindly booted out the door at close.

My biggest hang up was the Mosquitos and a little bug spray handled that perfectly.

Our party of 5 went there today as a calm before the storm.  Had a great time!  The service and the food was awesome!
