Weary Traveler

This is my favorite restaurant in Madison! Great food, great atmosphere.

For food, I like to alternate between the West of the Andes beef tenderloin sandwich and the Bad Breath Burger - or even better - convince someone to do halfsies with me:) The West of the Andes sandwich is usually a super-tender thick slice of tenderloin topped with absolutely fantastic guacamole. No matter what season this is - it's super good. Overall the menu is a bit small, but what they do have on the menu is fantastic. Also, the dinner special is generally pretty good and they have a nice selection of craft beers on tap.

For the atmosphere, my favorite time of year for Weary Traveler is Winter. There's nothing better than stepping off the cold streets of Willy and into a warm, dimly lit, crowded restaurant/bar for hot Grog and picking out a game to play (in the shelves in the corner.)

I stumbled across this place because I was hungry and it was late and I happened to be near it at the time. I had the salmon and it was good. I plan on trying it again at some point the next time I'm in Madison.

Great brunch menu and bloody mary's.
