This place has awesome views of the lake and USED TO BE very good. We went there this past Saturday evening for dinner and were very disappointed. It was a really fabulous evening with spectacular views across the lake and temperatures in the 70's. That was the good news.
The bad news follows-  We started with soup and the onion soup tasted like potato soup with no flavor (my friend had the gazpacho which actually tasted very good). Then the  chicken entree was very small, overly salted, tough and overcooked.  Another entree, the risotto was mushy and the two desserts we ordered were terrible -  the sorbets were almost melted and a chocolate mousse like dish tasted floury!
I complained to the waitress about the chicken and that obviously fell on deaf ears as there wasn't even a hint of an apology or credit on the bill.
Its a shame because this was such a great location and a fabulous place to take visitors to Tahoe.
Food is extremely salty. Views are great. This was the best place in Tahoe LAST year. This year I would advise avoiding since there are many better place with a view and great food, I would recommend driving north to Kings Beach or Tahoe City. Hopefully they get their act together and repeat last year's food and service.
