This place is BYOB. Bring a bottle of wine to have with dinner. NO CORK FEE! There's a wine and spirits just a few feet away. The service isn't all that wonderful, but some of the servers mean well. However the wait for the food is usually worth it in the end. Nice change of pace with it not being a chain.

Low marks for both food and service.  Please note that I have only been to Casey's for breakfast, so this review is based on breakfast items only.

Let's start with the food...  In a word, BLECH.  I twice ordered eggs at Casey's - the first time they were over-easy, the second time was an omelet.  On both occasions, the eggs were burned/scorched.  Newsflash for the cook:  IF EGGS ARE BROWN, YOU BURNED THEM.  On the third trip to Casey's, I ordered pancakes.  Contrary to the egg adventure, the pancakes were UNDER-cooked...to the point that the middles of the pancakes were actually runny batter.  SALMONELLA ANYONE?  Seriously, how hard is it to make eggs and pancakes.  I was able to make eggs and pancakes by the time I was in 7th Grade, and they were neither burned nor raw.

And the service...  The service was slow all three times.  The wait staff does not exude hospitality or any sense of urgency.  In fact, the general attitude is that they're doing you a favor by providing service.  One particular visit stands out as among the worst service I have ever received.  Our waitress first took our drink orders, and asked several times if we would want anymore drinks.  I thought that was odd, but assumed she was just being thorough.  I found out, though, that she was really avoiding the need to make any "extra" trips to the beverage counter!  Toward the end of the meal, I asked for hot tea.  She said, "I asked if you were going to want anymore drinks?" like I had broken the law, and she said it with an attitude.  I replied that half an hour ago I didn't want tea, and that now I want tea, and too bad she had to take ten extra steps to the coffee station to get tea.  20 MINUTES LATER, she delivered the tea.  Really?!  Lazy cow.

Needless to say, we will NOT EVER go back to Casey's.  They had three opportunities to even moderately satisfy on the food or service fronts, and failed miserably all three visits.  With Bruegger's and Panera within a few blocks, I can't figure out how this lousy place stays in business.  Do yourself a favor, and go down the street to Cafe Vita instead.

We had Sunday morning breakfast at Casey's, and it was very good. It is a popular spot on Sunday mornings, and when we arrived, people were already waiting outside for Casey's to open. Serving crew was friendly and food came without much of a wait. The scrambled eggs were fresh and light, and I loved the bottomless cup of coffee.  We'll be back next week.
