  This summer we went to the Whiskey River a few times to see live acts like: Luke Bryan, Rehab, Jake Owen, and Sammy Kershaw. It can be overwhelming if you haven't been before because it does get VERY packed. There is a dace floor right in front near the stage, multiple bars, and an upstairs with pool tables and an additional bar. The crowd can be rough, but it is always fun. It's south Macon- not Atlanta- so you should know what you are getting into. The comedy club is great!!! We saw a hypnotist show a few months ago and have been back to play poker and the slots.

  This place ought to be called STD 'R US, or some not so clever name involving disease or filth. Sure they try and get fancy, the continual presence of a limo outside, a cover charge, and live music, but they just can't hide the dirty fact that they've got slime running every which way through this club. The bartenders and shot girls look as if they're trying to solicit a little something more then just a drink sale (definitely a fan of that), but the fact that the majority of the ladies there (a lot on the slightly heavy side) want to emulate the hot ones is disturbing. Nobody likes to see ginormous muffin tops. It's just not right. The lone bathroom they have for the hundreds of patrons each night appears to be on the verge of overflowing every night. Drunk girls are throwing themselves out to everyone available as this is the only night of the week they don't have custody of the 3 kids they've got at home. You can get in free if you go to the comedy club beforehand, so I guess it has that going for it. You've gotta be a little loaded to not notice the glaring problems.
