  This is a Ruidoso staple for sure! Perfectly divey are dark!  The staff is super down to earth and friendly.  We werent there at night on this particular trip, but the nighlife in the past has been really fun.  They usually have a band, and they have a nice sized dance floor.  There is also a door  that takes you to the liquor store next door!  I love this place;)

  VERY local-type bar with a local crowd.  Bartender was a bit edgy and unfriendly to us (we were obvious outsiders).  When asked what they had on tap, the curt response was "margaritas!"  Kind of threw us off because we had never heard of margaritas on tap.  Fireman's 4 yes.  But margaritas?
  
  The atmosphere is great, low-brow, honky tonk.  Music was good and the dancing was entertaining.  Especially the cowgirls boot-scootin' with a pinch under their gum.  
  
  It's worth a drop in next time you pass through town.

  Nothing but Country here...LOVE IT!   This is my Dad's favorite bar in Ruidoso and he is an old school Cowboy so I knew it would be good.  Band was amazing and the staff was friendly and accommodating to our large group.  Would have given 5 starts but there were a few really drunk patrons who were allowed to keep drinking and started trouble...other than that I cannot wait to come back!

  Wow what a surprise for this place.  very friendly!  band is excellent.  Service is outstanding.  If you like to country dance and meet new people go here while in Riodoso!  Easily my favorite place while visiting Riodoso.

  Meh.  Dive.  Owner is cranky as hell.  Normally those things would make me happy, but here it is depressing.  The day after the owner throws in the towel, this place will be closed and open as yet another potpourri/chili pepper/tshirt shop.

  Easily the best bar in town. Everyone in here wears a cowboy hat and cowboy boots. There's live music every night (I think) and a nice dance area if you're drunk enough or just love to dance to pretty decent country western music. Yeah, I said it. It's super, super, super cheap and if you're good to the bartender he will definitely take care of you. Also, tell Ronnie Kuhns (sp?) and Brett that Jenna says hello.
