Wind River Brewing Company

Was on a trip through the inter Mountain West, stopping at microbreweries along the way. Stopped here and got a really good brew and a really good homemade veggie burger. Love this place will come back again!

I wanted to be excited about this place but walked away with an 'average fair' feeling.  The beer was good (pale ale for me) and the fajitas were only average at best.  Maybe my mistake for ordering something beyond burgers.  

Our overworked waitress (Monday Night football was on) had no time to engage in any conversation other than "I'll be right back...".  Clearly this location rides on its beer laurels (which is good) and its cool name.  Its the only game in town so tourists come regardless of the service provided, "so why bother" that's the attitude I get...too bad because I was ready to pull out the wallet to buy clothing gear but no thanks, I will save that opportunity for the next brewery in Jackson...

The wait staff dinged my rating just a bit. Server was fine (neither here nor there) but an 'off duty' employee sat down next to me at the bar and out of nowhere says to the bartender, "I wish my x husband would die" and no less than 5x says "he does something to me every month".  Not real relaxing. Food was good and quick after ordering. Hmmmm, not sure what to make if this place. Lots of good things overcome by the folks that work there. I'd try it again hoping 'she's not there'.
