I have to say this place is GREAT. Not only do they have First Fridays Wine Tasting but also Yappy Hour for the pouches. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful to any questions you may have about a particular wine.
It is a great hidden gem in Mt. Dora.
Stop in, Â Relax, and have a glass of wine ...or two!!!
Great service & atmosphere. The owners are very personable and have great knowledge of wine. The first Friday night is always a good wine tasting with a wine stroll added in at times as other local businesses host wine through the quaint little town. On the Third Friday is a great event called Yappy Hour where the evening is co-hosted with the Pigglets Pantry next door for a bring your DOG. There is a lot of great value and times to be had at the wine den!
Review Source:Although I thought this place was quite cute and has a great atmosphere, I was not very impressed by the owners attitude. Â I've been to this location twice and both times she was not very helpful AT ALL!!! Â As a matter of fact, she was downright snooty! Â The first time I visited she ignored my presence, the second time I had visited, I was looking for a wine for my wine club (10 members and counting) and our theme was "A Bargain Under $10". Â She expressed she didn't have anything in that price range and continued talking to a patron at the bar. Â
I understand, she may not have had anything in that price range, but was there anything close to it she could have suggested, I gave her this opportunity to redeem herself from my first experience with her and unfortunately she missed it  She could have also suggested something to try at my next wine club meeting.  But, she didn't.  Maybe it's because of the way I was dressed, I don't usually dress as if I have money to spend and I do that for a reason. Â
I wish her the best in her business as it seems there are a lot of people that disagree with me. Â However, I will continue to spend my wine money at Maggie's Attic, where I feel appreciated and they take the time to answer my questions and help me spend my money.
