There's something in the water... Steroids and ecstasy. Mufuckas in the basement club are freaks and belong in cages. The hoes were hot but pupils the size of golf balls trippin hard. Met my soulmate Becca upstairs shortly before my crew dragged me out for causing shit with some old townie dick, missed connection???
Review Source:This bar will continue to get better and better. I spent my summer in Lake Placid and spent a lot of time here. I had a few special events here for my wedding as well and could not have been happier. The menu is big and has something for everyone. It is the best place to get late night food. I enjoy this bar more than most of the other places in Lake Placid because it's big, has plenty of tvs, everyone is super friendly, the deck is great and there is a large selection at the bar. PLUS it's within walking distance to just about everything. I continue to go here just to say hi and have a quick drink and to bring a group of people in for a special event.
Review Source:I was really drunk when I ate here during my stay. As other reviews state, saying it's a nightclub it a bit of an exaggeration. The food was good and the service was prompt, although our server took our food before we were finished with it. I can't really speak to how good Wiseguys is to drink at, but if you're looking for some food to eat when you're drunk, Wiseguys is, at the very least, good enough.

The place is big. Â They have a few dart boards and pool tables. Â A large bar and ample seating was available for us to die at. Â We opted for the bar and were promptly waited on. Â
The menu wasn't anything special. Â Most of the sandwiches include fries and will run you about 9 dollars. Â We got a chicken sandwich with peppers and onions. Â The fries were delicious. Â The sandwich was enough to feed both of us. Â
If you are thinking this is a night club like bigger cites have you will be disappointed. Â This joint is a sad excuse for a night club and resembles more of a local American Legion with a few more tv's.
The only bad thing about this place would be the ketchup. Â Although my waitress couldn't tell me the brand of it, I knew myself it wasn't Heinz. Â I would have even settled for the dollar store brand compared to the stuff I had.
This place really shouldn't be trying the nightclub market. But then again I went on a wednesday. First of all if it was a night club I'd probably be so sketched out. Second off all its an incredible sports bar (unless you like the NBA...it has no packages, but it does have NHL and NFL). They have two beers on tap, and they are cheap beers. They have a few beers in bottles. The bartenders were friendly, nice and extremely helpful even if we couldn't find the game I wanted. Definitely worth stopping in.
Review Source:Spent the last week in Lake Placid with a group of friends. Spent two nights here. Food was good, drinks were reasonable, but the reason for coming back was the staff. They were very welcoming and fun to spend a night of drinking with. Â Highly recommended for those looking for a good time. Will definitely be back next time in Lake Placid.

With a TV at almost every table, you can find any sports game you ever wanted to watch here. Â The beer selection was not great, but what they did have was pretty good. Â The hot wings are a must have.
The service was excellent, with good prices in a vacation town. Â This is definitely a local hangout, with the occasional 'out of towner' coming in to check out a hard to find game on the television.
Good place to grab a beer! Â My wife and I stopped in during the day on a Saturday to grab a drink. Â We found the bartender super-nice and funny and the other bar-goers were very friendly. Â Theres a pool table and it looks like they may have bands come in sometimes because there was some music stands and other band gear in the corner on a makeshift stage. Â I counted at least 6 TV's playing all kinds of sports.

Take the other reviews with a grain of salt. This place is certainly NOT deserving of 1 star. Yes, you won't find table clothes or actually be able to see the original floor. Yes, the decor (if you can call it that) was established the same year that Michael Jackson launched Thriller. And yes, the lights are probably dimmed each year to disguise the unravelling bits that about but... in the end... this place is what it is: a local bar slash pool hall slash sports bar.
If they were trying to pose as something more, they certainly wouldn't call themselves"Wiseguys".
The food is actually OK even a bit better than you typical small town bar food. (See the photo that I posted to verify.)
Lots of TVs - at least 10 - so if you want to watch sports, this is a good place for that.
