This cozy neighborhood cafe surprised me with scrumptious calamari and an Angus burger that was the best I've had in years! Â
And the music...well the night we were there the band (Throwdown Blues) 'blue' us away!
Certainly not a huge place, it's size and friendliness made it feel like a private party thrown in our honor with room enough to dance with all our new found friends.
Locals only, please
Drinking cheap pitchers in peace
Level pool table?
If you just want a place to get a beer, go to Wood St.; if you're looking for good music or mingling with a crowd, head to the downtown area. It's not really a party bar, just a neighborhood place where the locals drink. They have two pool tables and some table seating, and the Red Sox are always on if you're looking for the game.
Can't comment on the mixed drinks, but the $7 pitchers aren't a bad deal if you're just looking to hang out with some friends and catch up.
