its a shame we have to cross this place off our "go to local restaurant " list
we often went here for great humble food but I don't know what happen as we had the worst food ever here this past Thursday night .
Over cooked and dryed out wings and ribs - slow service, but not do to the waitress, she was great, tiny drinks and they had a trivia quiz DJ that was blasted through the entire restaurant -
Stopped in here last week with my co-worker for lunch and I'm glad we did because I have another destination to bike this summer.
In short, it was everything I expected from great bar. Two criteria which I needed were met; an impressive craft beer selection and a menu with choices other than usual bar fare. Beyond that, the guy working behind the bar was friendly and attentive even while working a decent lunch crowd. Cannot over state how prompt and friendly the staff was.
Okay so I went with the wings, hear me out though. When I go to a new restaurant I like to try to the chicken wings because I think they are a good compass of judging the quality of the rest of the items on the menu. If a place has enough pride in their standard fare like wings, the rest of the menu is worth visiting. They offered a grilled option which I wish more places did (trying to watch the girlish figure). As usual, I ordered them 'as hot as you can make em' and Woody's didn't pull any punches. in fact they called my bluff. Â They were so deliciously flammable that I almost couldn't finish. Well played Woody's.
I look forward to coming back when it warms up just a bit, as the patio outside looked like a great way to enjoy the summer evenings.
