Love this place -- great food, classy eclectic decor, great background music and attentive service. I eat here once a week, sometimes I order from the specials menu, sometimes not. The food is always fresh, full of flavor and consistent and the portions are the same - whether it's on the daily specials menu or not.

Thursdays are half price Thai food day. If you like Red Curry, Green Curry, Phad See Meo and other Thai dishes, you won't be disappointed. The Thai Basil, lemon grass and other ingredients are always fresh and not lacking. I'd say you get plenty, but I have found that Thai food is not super filling so don't expect to be taking the rest home!

Monday's are very busy here as it's half off sushi for lunch and dinner!

I've had everything here from Sushi, Yaki Soba, soups, appetizers, Thai food, Korean food and drinks at the bar. I find the meals to be presented nicely and the tables, glasses and silverware to be clean.

I've brought many people here who loved it and do come back. I'd say this is a diamond in the ruff. I haven't eaten on the patio yet but it does look real cozy and welcoming!

Have gone back a few times with better service but you still have to wait a while for your food, even if the place is empty! The new decor is "interesting". Glad the cheesy fountain/waterfall is gone. Better selection of vegetarian sushi (no fish) than Misaki.

I don't love sushi, it's not something that I regularly eat, and I don't get too crazy with ordering raw fish components. With that said, Yings was still a great experience. The place is pretty small but looks very nice on the inside. The bar has good drinks and is located just far enough from the main drag that it never gets packed.

Looking for a sushi restaurant for lunch on a Monday isn't easy!  Four of us went to Ying;s today and were really surprised.  The sushi was good!  Coming from Boston and Los Angeles I wasn't too sure it would be ok but it was.  I would recommend it.  The downside of the place is the room we were in was also the bar so the music playing was a bit too clubby for lunch and the service was spotty.  The waitress was very nice but the food took a long time between appetizer and main course.

    I would go back though!

I have been here 3 times in the past month and have always had a good experience. The food is fresh, very well plated and there is a huge variety of sushi and other dishes (mostly Thai/Korean). The waitstaff and owner Ying are very nice and are sincere in wanting you to be happy. The outside looks sort of ordinary but has a very nice outdoor dining area. The inside is quite classy and not what you would expect in this neighborhood.
They have specials everyday like half price sushi on Monday, half price Thai dishes on another day etc... Full bar and although it seems a straight crowd it has killer gay bar music on the sound system, a reason alone to go!

On the search for korean mid-cape, I found Ying's.  Its Sushi/Thai/Korean fusion.  The thai beef satay was very good and the japanese wasabi pork shumai were great.  It was nice to see a shumai that wasn't shrimp and I love the sting of wasabi.  The vaguely korean offerings are bibim bap and "korean wok" stir fry.  I had the "spicy korean" stir fry with chicken.  Although it was very good, the flavor was way more thai than korean.  I was expecting prominent gochujang but it was nothign like that.  It was more like a thai hot basil minus any basil....and minus the heat.  It was not spicy at all.

While I cant speak about the sushi offerings, their cooked entrees are bizarrely expensive.  My "spicy korean" wok stir fry was $17.95!!  ...for a stir fry...with chicken??!  The beef satay app (4 sticks) was 9.95!?!?  There were lunch specials on the takeout menu advertised as "new low price" of $9.95?

The food is three stars, the service was fine, the atmosphere is cool ... but the prices knock it down a star.

I'm still waiting for bulgoki, kalbi, dolset bibim bap, dukbokki, jigae's, bokkeum's to hit the mid-cape.  If there is a place that I'm unaware of... let me know about it, people!

I ordered the ruby curry.  Their menu described the dish as having red and green peppers in it.  It a came with one very tiny piece of red pepper in it.  I hate it when the menu says one thing and the food served is actually something different. Pulling that crapt says they don't give a hoot about the customer.   Half price Thursdays still cost me over 11.00.

This is my favorite place when I was in High School and things haven't changed too much since then.

My favorite thing on the menu is the Lava Noodle Soup.

Excellent prices for lunch dinner can be a bit spendy. But offering a wide variety of asian dishes.

Me and my hubbby stopped in for a late lunch on a weekday.  The place was dead but I don't expect much on a cape cod winter weekday.   All we ordered was sushi and honestly it was mediocre.  It wasn't bad but it wasn't "wow".  The ginger and the wasabi had also had a very dull taste.

For the night crawler they have a bar and a nice atmosphere.

I had a craving for sushi today and Misake was closed (they don't serve on Mondays), so I decided to check out Ying's. I hadn't been there in about 10 years... and I probably won't return for another 10 years!
The decor is nice, a little tacky, but "modern" for the Cape.

I sat at the bar (not the sushi bar, but the bar). There was one customer at the bar and two bartenders. Neither one greeted me or asked if they could get me a drink for at least 10-15 minutes.

I filled out my sushi ticket while I waited for someone to greet me. When i was finally greeted I was met by some dude who didn't understand my order at all (there is no quantity or specification column ie. sahimi, handroll, maki on the order ticket). I used to work at a nice sushi joint in Portland, Maine, so I figured I was filling it out logically. So, after we cleared that up he spun around to enter it in the computer. As he was walking away I then asked for a beer, and some miso soup.

The other bartender poured me a Saporro, which was warm and had a ton of head. The miso soup never came. When my sushi came I was ready for another beer, which I asked for.

The sushi was sub-par. The tuna was generous, and nice. The octopus was room temperature, and smelly. My hand rolls had sooo much rice and too much spicy sauce--they also were not made to my preference. The salmon with spicy sauce was room temp and sketchy looking, so I didn't eat it in fear of getting sick. Also, why aren't there special rolls??

When I was finished and asked for my check both the bartenders, after talking about their wild night at Pufferbellies, disappeared.

Thank god I had cash, because I have a feeling if I ran my debit card it would have taken another half hour.

The service and food in a nutshell: sucked.

I live for the Fire Crunchy Rolls! Thank goodness for Ying's because they feed me at least 2 meals a week! I often get takeout, which, is 95% of the time perfect!

The restaurant itself is uber clean & very eclectic. The decor is a bit on the strange side, but I love it! They have big fish tanks in one of the seating areas and my son loves those too!

It might sound silly but one thing (there's many) that sets Ying's apart from other sushi places is the menu. There are tons of fun and contemporary items, and a lot of pictures. Sometimes when ordering sushi it is nice to see a picture of the roll before I get it.... Just so I know what to expect! 5 Stars for the picture menu!!

Also, I LOVE the Fried Ice Cream.... I know it's a bit odd for a sushi spot... but I promise you will NOT be disappointed! Instead of the regular chocolate sauce you get at mexican restaurants, it's topped with honey, sesame seeds, and garnished with an orange...YUMMY!

-Ying's was recently renovated and the decor will shock you! The Greek and Roman statues outside give no foreshadowing to the rich, bright colors and animal print patterns inside. Cool vibe.
-The place (overall) and food are so. much. better.
-The waitresses all wear cute little kimonos.
-If the owner is there, she'll do just about anything for you in the kitchen!

Despite the drug-related shooting at Ying's, I've been there 3 times within the last month. 1 star for not getting shot. Now, I was really excited to have an "authentic" Asian-fusion restaurant on this homogeneously white island. The Korean and Japanese dishes are definitely the best quality. The bibimbap and tom yum are pretty good (tom yum was a little weak), especially for the Cape. The sushi is always SUPER fresh and there's an excellent variety of maki, as well as custom hand rolls. Best of all, they're fairly priced- unlike Misaki which charges way more for average sushi on a comparatively limited menu. I can't vouch for the Thai but my friend said Ying's serves the best pad thai he's ever had! The panang curry also looked a little watery but I heard no complaints. Additionally, Ying's offers loads of specials during the week like half-off sushi, appetizers, and the waitresses will slip you coupons for spa discounts with their sister business if you're nice. The veggie gyoza was kind of a let down but the wonton soup features a better dumpling while the broth is loaded with carrots, cabbage, bok choy, and scallions!!

Only been here once so not quite ready to give it 5 stars.  We ordered sushi and it was fantastic.  Haven't tried any of the other food.

one con: we sat at the sushi bar and at EVERY other sushi bar I've sat at, and I've been to many, the sushi chef behind the bar is super friendly....the guy this past Sunday didn't even look at us.  Plus, azt other bars we placed our sushi order directly with the sushi chef behind the bar.  He then hands our sushi plates to us as finishes making them.  Here, the waitress took our order, walked around to the other side of the sushi bar, gave it to the chef, he then made the sushi and rang a bell to let the waitress know it's ready.  She goes and gets it and brings it to us.  It's the funniest thing since we are literaly sitting right in front of the guy watching  him prepare OUR sushi.

I really love this place. My favorite thing on the menu, by far, is Lard Nar. So illegally tasty. You could bring anyone here - a date, your parents, some friends...whatever. The prices aren't bad, and the decor is...intriguing. It almost feels like a Roman coliseum with bizarre pillars in back and weird sheets that could be togas. I don't get that, but the place has great food.
