Just two stars. Got a steak but it certainly wasn't restaurant quality. When you need to spit out the second bite because of gristle, you pretty much know what you've gotten yourself into....

Great environment to watch sport events with your family. Meals are reasonably priced and well prepared.

I'll get right to it - THE KITCHEN STAFF PUT HAIRS IN OUR FOOD.

The more in-depth-story:  Was back East with my wife for a funeral in November, staying at the hotel that houses Yogi's. We went to the restaurant, and it was after their breakfast time.  We asked if it was possible to get a breakfast, and the waitress cheerily said "I'll check."  She came back and happily said "No problem at all."  So we ordered two omelettes.

Luckily, I cut my omelette up before eating it, because I found about 12-15 short, straight hairs, as if someone had just chopped an inch off their hair, and sprinkled "a pinch" of hairs into our omelette. (I know, we thought "maybe these are pubic hairs," but they were pretty straight, as if cut from very long hair.)

Like anyone, I've had an occasional bug or single hair in my food.  That's bad enough.  This was a deliberate act of putting hair in the food.

Here's the worst part:  the chef was a mostly bald guy with reddish hair.  My only interpretation of this can be (1) it's not his hair, (2) someone with access to the kitchen (hey, maybe the chef, maybe a busboy, maybe a mystery idiot) had to be saving some hair off to the side, waiting for people like us to make them mad by asking for breakfast at non-breakfast hours.

The very nice waitress apologized, was obviously stunned, and came to roughly the same conclusion as us:  someone did this on purpose.  The way the hairs were clumped together made it obvious.

But no manager came over.  No chef came out to clear this up.  Nothing else happened.

I'd strongly recommend that, if you don't like a pinch of hair in your food -- or vindictive kitchen staff messing with your food and drink in bizarre and gross ways -- that you steer clear of this place.  This was terrible.  Unfortunately, I had to attend a funeral -- otherwise, I would have stayed in the restaurant longer, called the hotel manager, and pushed harder to get the ugly truth about this.

The person in the kitchen who did this needs to be found, fired, and even charged.  GROSS!

Passed by and wondered if this was a real sports bar or just a lame hotel lounge.  Unfortunately, it's more of the latter.  Food and service were decent enough, just no ambiance and the crowd is mostly people staying at the hotel.  Had to evacuate when the fire alarms went off.

Very nice place, with wall to wall flat screens and tasty good food.

If you're staying at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, then give Yogi's a try.  They have a full bar, plus several games on the screens scattered about the restaurant.  They were very accommodating about putting on a different game at the TV by our table.  I found the staff very friendly too.   We ate there 3 nights and one breakfast and I found the food consistently good/average. Nothing bad, but nothing "wow" either.

My teams from work were required to have a training down in Jamesburg, NJ, and our travel department was able to book all of us at the Crown Plaza in Monroe at a good rate.

And as a bonus, the hotel was gracious enough to coordinate a team happy hour for us at Yogi's, which is attached to the hotel, and we were very impressed.

First off, they gave each of us free drink coupons for any type of drink, including top shelf liquor.  Mmmmm...Grey Goose Martini!

Secondly, they reserved a couple of tables for us in the corner, which gave us a good view from the numerous flat screen TVs.

Lastly, the service was very friendly and very frequent.  There was not one moment that night that we had empty glasses.  And the prices were very reasonable as well.

Oh...and don't forget to ask for the speaker system that allows you to tune in to the TV displaying the show of your choice.  Definitely a bonus, especially  during sports events.
