I've enjoyed going to this neighborhood bar in the past but was super disappointed recently with the waitstaff and bartenders. Beyond rude, super cocky little girl behind the bar, had to ask numerous times for a menu? She seemed more busy on her phone than tending to customers. The new owner is nice (Allen) but I think he should reevaluate who is representing his new business (ahem Sarah I believe was her name?)
I won't go back after seeing her eat off of customers plates, beyond rude, and tons of gnats in the bar area, woof!  My last experience was awful.. Word travels fast in a small community.

When i first moved to Austin, I resided in Bee Cave. This was a go-to joint. Good bar, friendly staff, and good food; beware of their hottest wings, they are the hottest I have EVER HAD, and I eat Plucker's Fire-in-the-Hole on a regular basis.

I came to Zingers after the owner "Allen" talked to me about his Bar & Grill and the Great Deals they had going on for Lunch.  I went there for lunch yesterday and the food/atmosphere was GREAT!!!  I had the caesar side salad which was pretty good, then the Butternut Squash Soup which was AMAZING!!  Next came the Chicken Club which was one of the tastiest Chicken Club's I've ever had.  The service was great in a fun environment for all.

This is one place I intend to frequent often with my wife and daughter!!!

Sub-par. Bad service ruined a tradition.

This is a great place to stop in after a day of shopping or to watch the game. It's an oasis for the men while the women shop. Oh and the food isn't bad either!

The best dry rub chicken wings I ever had in my life:-)))) sounds silly but thats true and the costumer service was excellent, the staff from the GM (Curtis) to the waiters especially (Kade) are friendly and proffesional. If you want to be pampered the best place to hang out is the Zinger:-)
Alan the owner was always there to assist and attend the guests need with a huge smile in his face. Zinger's has the most friendly ambience we have ever expirienced in town.

40 minutes for our food to come out when the place wasn't even busy. Everything is way overpriced.

This is definitely one of my favorite local bars! Plenty of TVs which is nice because you don't have to worry about not being in view of your team if the place is packed. Their wings are great and come in different flavors. If I'm not in a buffalo mood, I can go for the lemon pepper, teriyaki, or cajun. If I'm looking for a bigger meal, I have a couple different favorites to choose from... The beef patty melt is great! A nice change from a regular cheeseburger, I get it on the jalapeño cheddar bun for a softer bite and def add the sautéed mushrooms! Yum yum! I also love the southwestern chicken sandwich, such good flavors all coming together in one...avocado, pepper jack cheese, sautéed onions, and chipotle aioli. My other two go-to items are the chicken quesadilla and the southwest chicken salad. And I'm not usually a salad orderer but this one makes me happy :)  The patio outside is awesome, romantic lighting in the evening, and pups can come too.

Came in for a quick lunch and a had a great experience. It's in a nice spot too, you can walk around the Galleria and get some shopping in then stop in for a bite and a beer. We ordered the rib eye quesadilla which was their special that day and it was awesome. The beers are cold and the staff very friendly. Their patio is dog friendly too. The waiter even brought out a doggy bowl of water for our little pug. Is this place my favorite restaurant in Austin? No, but for a little sports bar in a shopping center this place is an excellent lunch spot overall.

Horrid. When our waitress finally realized there was someone at her table she asked what we wanted to drink in a, "why are you here" manner. When asked is the chicken pasta pretty popular she responded with sure. Sure? Really? Completely forgot about one order and said the kitchen made it wrong and she had them remake it. It was soup. A 30 minute meal lasted two hours. Horrible service and food. Third time there Will not go back.

We recently checked out Zingers.  We are a family of four...with young kids.  They have a nice, diverse menu and a lovely, shady patio, but they have some service problems.

First, we arrived early on a Sunday evening.  Probably 80-90% of tables were available.  So why did they cram us next to the large party of 8 women who probably appreciated it as much as we did?

Second, we had a spill on our table.  Large glass of ice tea just sitting there with us frantically trying to get to someone to help us. Our waitress was nowhere in sight.  I tried to get the other servers to attend to us, but they didn't.  They barely glanced at me as I asked for help.  They never bothered to come by.  Our server finally came back and said she would help us and then disappeared in the back for 5 minutes before helping us.  She apologized, but it was pretty unforgivable.

Third, the music is way too loud.  It put everyone in our party in a bad mood.  That and the ice sculpture on our table.

The last thing that irked us is the kids menu.  They charge $4.00 for macaroni.  Seems normal, right?  But they put "no refills"  next to macaroni on the menu.  Weird, right?  Who puts that on the menu?  Oh, right, they had to put it on the menu because so many people complained about the tiny macaroni serving.  Our TWO-year-old devoured it in two minutes flat and was begging for more food.  Nice.  Waterloo gives you a huge macaroni, fruit or fries, free drink, and ice cream for $4.95.  They're just across the highway.  Just sayin.

In sum: cute place, good menu, problems.

Not a great menu. The burger is ok but the chicken Marsala tasted like it was a microwave meal

This place is obviously not a fine dining establishment, but we had an excellent first visit yesterday. The star of the show was their Reuben sandwich "Tony styled."
A friend got the reuben not Tony-styled, so we were able to compare. Tony styled get you different (and delicious) bread, and jalapenos. This sandwich was excellent! The french fries were also marvelous, which was a surprise to me. I normally just pass over whatever fries are laid before me, but I ate a considerable amount of these because they were delicious.
There was a bird who pooped on someone in our party twice, but I honestly found that to be more comic relief than anything. The server ended up putting up an umbrella at our table, so that solved the problem.
The drinks were good, the staff was attentive, and for a strip mall joint, this place is great.
A friend got the burger which looked great and he seemed to enjoy quite a bit. We had the nachos and fried pickle spears to start with, and both were very tasty.
I've only been here once, but I really enjoyed it. Given the chance, I'll happily eat here again.

Very average 'bar-grill' which is actually a sports bar. Standard menu, burgers, wings and the like. Not saying its awful, but it's average. However, I feel it is quite overpriced - $8 for a below average sangria sums it up.

Great location, convenient when you are shopping, ambience is good. But the menu is not creative.  Burgers, Wings, Soup Salad.  And whats more, the food was also medicore.  But the service was great.  Nice bar setting too.  Need to work on the food quality and then it should do very well.  (My son and I were there on a Friday night during prime hours, it was not full, which says a lot.)

Yikes  My wife loves their chicken sandwich and I generally enjoy their food although I don't drink soda there because the fountain produces some flat/syrupy sodas.  So, we went on Friday and it was 70% full.  It took a while for the waiter then it took a LONG TIME for our order to be delivered.  We were probably waiting 45+ minutes between ordering and receiving our food.  Even worse, the side was wrong on one entree and they placed grilled onions on my wife's sandwich when she explicitly asked for them to be off since she really dislikes them.  Our server never asked if we wanted refills on our empty glasses and never offered condiments and disappeared.  We finally saw him after we were almost finished and asked for those items.  So, a little later a manager stops by...not sure if she saw the disappointment in our faces or if the waiter/chef was screwing up a lot.  She offered us a free dessert but we were ready to go and declined.  So, she said "let me get you a gift card."  So, about 25 minutes later, the manager has not returned and the guy finally brings the check.  We just paid and left and agreed that it was our last visit to Zingers.  We used to go about once a month.  There are too many other good options in the area and even within walking distance of Zingers to go there and leave disappointed.

Wife and hit this place on St Pattys day - nice place. Can bring your dog and eat/drink on the patio with your pet. Service is good and food is much better than the typical bar food. Decent drink specials and tv's all over the place. Very kid friendly as well.

Zingers is by no means a 5 star restaurant but they have become our go to restaurant when I have my pup in tow and after several dozen visits over the past 3 years I have yet to have a bad experience (always tasty food and excellent service) - that earns them 5 stars in my book.

Today, I met my Mom, Sister and Niece here for lunch and everything was great as usual! Our waitress was spot on always checking on us but never hovering. And after taking our drink orders she brought my dog a bowl of ice water while the human drinks were poured!

My Mom and I love their Chicken Quesadilla (not the least bit greasy flour tortillas filed thick with Pepper Jack Cheese, Chicken and grilled Poblanos served with pico, sour cream and guacamole) you have to ask for salsa and after our waitress brought out only one small ramekin I smiled and said my Mom salts her salsa:) and was quickly brought a separate ramekin of their surprisingly spicy salsa. We shared that and a Turkey Club Melt (piled high with turkey, cheese and bacon on a perfectly grilled bread). My Mom declared the Quesadilla the best she has ever had and have to agree only because I have yet to take her to Polvo's for one;)

My Sister ordered a spinach salad (not sure the name) with mandarin oranges and a ginger vinaigrette and requested to have tuna cooked well done added if possible (since she saw it offered as seared on another menu item). Our waitress had to inquire about this but she came back with a yes at 6.00 extra. The salad came out with a very large portion of very well cooked dry tuna that my sister loved!  I however love my Tuna either raw or barely seared so I thought it was horribly dry and almost gave my offered portion to my dog before my Sis said "give it back!"

My Niece's Chicken Stripes were also very tasty as well as the fries she chose over fruit. The fries are the skinniest I have ever seen and seem to be coated to make them super crispy and tasty!

Thanks for another great meal and memories with family and friends Zingers!

If you're ever to in this neck of the woods and in need of a tasty adult bevy, definitely swing by Zingers.

Probably my favorite part about this bar is the service.  Sabrina (not the teenage witch), is super nice and you can tell takes a lot of pride in her work (drank making). They have a bunch of great dranks on their menu that are all made from scratch.

The food is much better then standard bar far. Price wise, it's pretty reasonable at around $8-$15 per entree.

Final reason why I love Zingers, they have a ton of TVs hooked up in there. They put a little twist on it and they actually map out TVs to the games that are playing so there is no confusion over where you should sit and no fighting over what games are playing where.

Oh yea, and you can have dogs on the patio!

I come here about once a week.  The burger is really good- one of the best in Austin.  It's a half pound, and the bun is slightly sweet.  All sandwiches I've tried have been good.  The service has always been good, and sometimes it has been very good.  I've never been at night or on a weekend, but lunch during the week is usually pretty slow for them.

I had a chili cheese fries which was pretty decent for $7.  however, their service was slowwww.  Only 3 of us at the bar, and it took a long time for my buddy's wings to come out.  when they refilled my tea, the bartender put way more ice in than he needed.  enough for me to request some more tea with my ice.

I went to Zingers on my lunch break with a couple of coworkers, and I was pleasantly surprised.  I was expecting mediocre food and service, but the burger I got was delicious, and our server (Johnny?) was really friendly.  If I didn't live and work in the area I probably wouldn't drive out just to go to Zingers, but if you're looking to have a few beers and maybe a burger, Zingers is definitely the best option out here.

Living nearby, this became our go-to place for a fast, delicious, friendly atmosphere, kinda meal. I fell head over heels in love with their wedge salad, queso and shoe string french fries. They have a great selection of beers, wines and spirits, including those that are local.

TVs surround the bar and autographed sports memorabilia cover the walls -as it should at a sports bar. The staff is friendly from host to server and the outdoor patio (when allergies are low) 'hit the spot' on a warm (strike that) hot day. (It's Texas after all). ENJOY!

I like Zinger's because they have a very friendly staff, and it's a laid back atmosphere. I usually avoid coming here on the weekends because it's too packed, but their happy hour is great. I enjoy their chicken quesadillas, and the $8 martini shakers are awesome.

We came here yesterday evening before a Yelp Elite event, and decided to pre-game it with a drink and some appetizers. My fiance ordered the beef sliders/burgers and enjoyed those. We started off with queso and chips and it was super salty but still delicious. My chicken quesadillas were yummy as always.

I would say if we were basing this on the food alone, Zingers gets 3 stars, but the extra star is for the great service I received.

Our server was polite and friendly, gave us great service and refilled our waters every time they were low. Overall, this place is great for happy hour and I think they also have a reverse happy hour 9pm - ? but be careful because they shut down their kitchen early and the drinks are the only special left.

Better described as three and a half stars, this sports bar restaurant serves up some tasty and hearty food, if a little greasy.   The patty melt is quite good (and greasy) and was perfectly cooked to order as medium rare.   The Rueben is also good.  I was happy to see that one of them was on rye.  To me, both patty melts and ruebens just NEED to be on rye bread, but I think the patty melt was on Texas toast.  They are both served with thin and crispy fries which were yummy.  They also have sides, but they are on the expensive side and you can't substitute them to be on your plate instead of the fries, although you can get onion rings for a dollar more.  A non-fried option is not, well, an option.  I kind of felt that profit-motive was behind every decision in this menu.

We also had the wedge salad.  I got it with the dressing and blue cheese on the side, which I was happy about because they certainly give you plenty.  I was trying to be healthy, but I bet it is great with all that stuff on it.

They serve a nice generous wine pour, even though a glass of wine is not inexpensive.

Somewhat annoying - the video game consoles on the table.  I think having someone play a video game at a meal is weird.  I happen to think that being asked to pay for video games at your table is truly obnoxious.  Also - the cloyingly sweet waiter who clearly hated us and everyone else in the restaurant.

All in all, good place to drink, watch sports and eat drinking food (lots of fat/oil).  Not a great place to eat healthy however.

My fantasy football league tried it 2 seasons ago.  Mid way through the draft the server was putting chairs up on the tables so we could not see the T.V.  We vowed to boycott.

Last nignt Monday Night Football, Lil Woodrows was closed.  We gave Zingers another shot.  The server was rude and then, like clockwork, at 10:30 with the game going into o.t. the servers started with the  chairs again.  We are ordering more pitchers to watch O.T. and they are putting chairs on top of the table 3 feet from us.

The owners may want your money but the staff does not want you there.  Why go?

Friendly bar staff.  Lots of flat screen TVs.  Wings are excellent - the XX are just hot enough for those who like pretty hot wings without going overboard.  Great place to watch a big game in Bee Cave, but would be better if they could prevent the echo effect coming from the speakers.  Also, parking is ample in the free garage just behind the restaurant.

I have been several times with and with out my children, they have a kids menu and say they want you to bring the kids but when you get there that is another story. The service has been lack luster and usually slow and sometimes rude. The food is almost always good, when I asked the server how was the chili the response was "I wouldn't eat it" I did and it was good much better then the slow bartender and servers

We sold our daughter on going out to eat because we were going to a place that had games at the table.  Zingers is also fairly close to our house, so we've been wanting to try it.  Unfortunately, most of the machines at the tables were not in operating order which made the experience a little depressing.  They have a nook with a Wii and X-Box.  The X-Box was dead.  The Wii had Wii Sports in it.
If you think I'm focusing on the games a bit much, it's because there isn't much on the menu to talk about.  There were many uninspiring choices.
I had the "beef melt" which was an okay burger, but not worth trying again.  They had a ruben which tempted me, but with a lackluster handful of other choices, I questioned the history of the corned beef.
They had good beer choices, plenty of TVs for sports, and the fried pickles and skinny fries were tasty.  All of the employees we talked to were nice.
Those few positives were not enough to overcome the rundown feeling of the interior.  Maybe sitting on the patio off the sidewalk is more pleasant.  I'm not going to rush back to make a choice from their narrow menu though.

A great place to hang out and visit. Multiple TV's carrying all kinds of sports, all the time.  Pretty decent happy hour deals.  Patty melt burger is a favorite and order the fried mushrooms if you get a chance.  When sitting at the bar you will most likely end up in a friendly conversations with the patron next to you.  The longest I've ever had to wait for a table is 10 minutes.

Family of four arrived 6:30 to a half empty place.  It's windy outside and the hostess says there are only high seats available (we have twin 5 yr olds) or we could sit outside; which won't work.  I spot a wide open, larger booth and ask if we can have that spot?  To which we were informed it was for parties of 6 and no, we couldn't sit there.  So we said that wouldn't work, and the hostess said, sorry.  Then we left for another place.  Mind you, it was half empty at best.

And guess what, we won't return.  Nice going.

We wanted to catch an evening movie on a weeknight, and thought we'd grab a burger nearby...Zingers it is.

My burger wasn't killer awesome but it was far from terrible...twas A-OK.  My hubby had the Reuben and I think he found it pretty darned tasty.  Both varieties of fries (shoestring and beer battered) were yummy.  Our service was on point (not to many patrons this evening).

It may not be a spot we crave, but we'll have to keep it in the mental register b/c it'll do in a pinch.

Well, it's not great, but it's good enough for a shopping mall in Bee Cave.

I stopped in because I'm tired of eating at the place I'm working.

After much consideration of the menu, I went for the chicken strips with their XXhot buffalo sauce.

It comes with cute little shoestring fries that are perfect when they first come out, but falter as they reach ever closer to room temp.

Their menu says that their Buffalo sauce is hot, and their XX is really hot, and their XXX is so hot they don't recommend anyone eating it..ever.
    So, XX it is.
Meh. This is spice? Are we not in Texas?
I think places are just too chicken (get it?) to put proper heat in buffalo sauces. Then, they make up for it by having one that's just super duper retarded hot (typically with little flavor).

So, these were okay. The blue cheese was delightfully chunky. The fries were crisp bites of potatoey goodness. But the sauce was underwhelming. As was the draft beer selection.

It's possible that I'll be back again. This place is not without its charm. And I got my own place mat up at the bar when I said I wanted to eat there. Very la ti dah!

I'll just have to try things out and see if they do other things with more panache.

We live close to this place, so occasionally will meet friends to watch a game or have a drink.  Each time we are underwhelmed.  It's loud, the mixed drinks are mediocre and I think it's pricey for the quality of food you get.  Go for a beer and to watch a game and you probably will like it.  Otherwise, I wouldn't bother.  Why can't someone figure out how to make quality food around here?

Alas, more mediocrity in the Bee Cave area! I concur with all the other reviews and am once again left underwhelmed by bland food and slow service. I'll maybe give it another try in a few weeks and see if they work the kinks out and update this review, but for now I don't even feel like wasting my energy on it...

I had hoped for a really great place in Bee Caves/Lakeway area, but I think my hopes are smashed.

I like the atmosphere with big bar in the center of the room.  There are plenty of TV's and the servers are very nice.  But the food leaves a lot of room for improvement.  I had the wings and the nachos.  The wings were really small in size.  Compared to other wing joints, these were extra small.  Considering there are charging $11 for 12, they need to get a better quality wing.  The chicken nachos were very taste-less.  Interesting chips, but taste-less.

I had high hopes, but I am afraid that they might be missing the mark.  Well, at least the beer was cold.

We went on Grand Opening night, so probably not fair to judge their service or wait time!  They seemed a bit disorganized, and I think (after an hour wait) we jumped ahead of 3 other couples because of our persistence in checking in as to our status on the wait list.  They unfortunately don't have pagers.

The atmosphere was a typical sports bar: beers on tap, flat screened TVs (annoyingly the commercials came on blaring), high top tables, servers in Hooters-style tank tops.  The food, also typical of a sport bar - a few appetizers, sandwich/burger and salad selections.  We had the blue cheese burger and the patty melt (both decent, but nothing special), which came with thin cut fries.

Overall, I'm happy with ANY restaurant and/or bar addition to our little community of Bee Caves.....so yea!
