The Zone Restaurant & Bar

This place is a diamond in the rough. It just needs the right management to promote it. The food was good but I think that they need more "bar" type food on the menu like mozarella sticks, burgers, etc. Other than that, the DJ was on point and the place is clean!

I went here last night to watch a band. The band was great but The Zone itself...not so great.

Two of my coworkers arrived 30 minutes before I did to get a table. When I arrived they told me no had come to their table to get orders yet. We waited 10 more minutes and decided to get drinks from the bar. Literally it was another 25 minutes before they came back with the drinks...three bartenders was more than enough for the crowd but they were super slow. I'm a bartender so I tend to be a bit sympathetic and the bartenders service sucked. It was the same thing with them ALL night long on three different occasions.

We finally saw the server and ordered the wings and tempura shrimp. Both were delicious. Btw, we only saw one server the entire night! She was ripping and running all night.

Overall the band and food was good..Service- horrible. Would I go back? Only to order food... to-go!

I've been to the Zone twice (once on a Tues and then on a Thurs) and on both occassions I asked myself, WHY? I first time I went there they were hosting a card night and having a karoake show at the same time. Not counting the people playing cards, the restaurant had about 10 people in there.

My friend ordered (or tried to ordered) a class of Baileys and was told they don't have that drink. I suggested that she get a white russian instead and the waitress brought her that. I got a rum and diet coke. It was made well.

The second time that we went there nothing was going on (5 people in there, including us) and the waitress told us that they don't have the milk to make white russians and never had the milk to make that drink. After we told her that just 2 weeks ago, my friend ordered the drink, she told us that the bartender just made up a drink and lied to say it was a white russian. I just got water that time because you can't lie about whether or not a drink is really water.

The restaurant is located in a shopping center and is barely visible from the street. Someone will have to tell you it is there or you will miss it. The inside is in desparate need of a make-over. It reminds me of the Reagle-Beagle on Three's company. Dark and Green. I didn't even want to use the bathroom so I can't give you a review on that and of course we didn't eat so I have no review on the food either.

The waitress did tell us that they host all kinds of special events there starting in May, but I don't think I'll be back anytime soon.
