This is a funky bar on the 3rd floor deck of an old riverboat in Chattanooga. Â
Most of the indoor seating is big comfy leather furniture that you can definitely fall into and fall asleep in. Â There are 6 seating areas that all focus on their own TV's. Â In the middle of the room are a few 4-seater tables. Â Around the outside of main seating area are game areas. Â And outside there is a deck with additional seating. Â The bar itself is small with 4 or 5 seats. Â
I didn't try the burgers. Â I was just killing time before a dinner cruise but I did sample the beer. Â Not much to say about the beer. Â It's all bottled with selections from the usual big 3 to Lagunitas and a few other national craft beers.
The bartenders were very friendly but they kept waking me up asking me if I needed anything. Â lol. Â Maybe they should reconsider that comfy furniture to prevent people like me from falling asleep.
We had a fantastic experience tonight!! We were a little worried when it was so empty... But we quickly realized it is a hidden gem!! The food was fantastic, the service was great and the kids had a blast playing air hockey and fooseball!! And to top it off... They gave us a golf cart ride back to the parking lot!!! Definitely recommend this place!!
Review Source:The 3rd Deck Burger Bar (3DBB) is housed on the 3 deck of Pier 2. Â Pier 2 is an elegant former casino boat and home of the Southern Belle Riverboat, a Chattanooga tradition. While the main deck houses offices and a gift shop the 2nd is a banquet hall and the roomy 3rd deck is full on leather sofas each with it's own big screen TV. Â It's the perfect place to watch the game or just hang out with friends. Â While the menu has other items it is the 3rd Deck BURGER BAR and the care in making the signature item is obvious. Â This half pound Angus beef burger is served with a side of skin on fries and a unmatched view of the Tennessee River.
