There are not a lot of good places to eat in Bristol, Tennessee. Â 620 State is a treat, however. Â The bar is a thing of beauty, and the dining area is attractive. Â They have a good selection of beers and a good enough selection of wines, and a few creative cocktails, which are well done. Â The menu is ambitious, with a wide variety of offerings, but I have enjoyed everything I have tried. Â The service also has always been very good.
Review Source:Was very excited to check this place out since Bristol has so few restaurants. The place looks nice but was surprised by how unsocialable all the bartenders were. Â I tried to strike up conversation but that didn't go far. The sushi menu wasn't that big but I guess big for Bristol. So anyway, I tried a sushi roll (cant remember which one) but it came with salmon and I asked if I could have tuna instead. Â I literally tore the roll apart looking for the tuna and it was the smallest piece of tuna I've ever seen. Â You couldnt taste it at all. I also asked about any Japanese beers since the menu is mainly asian inspired. Â Well, they carried two Japanese beers but one of them they only hasd one of. Â HUH???? . The overall beer selection appeared very small and limited. They also have live music, however the cover band they had playing this night wasn't that great and pretty loud considering the small crowd. Â I'm sure I'll go back again when I visit home but I think they still have alot to learn about service, food and beverage.
