Out of Business and not much of a loss.
The only good thing about this place was the outside patio area that you could sit and watch the town go by.
The ownership of  "797 lounge" took this place from a crappy college dive bar i.e. "Sports Cafe" and turned it into a scary bar that brought in all of the out of town thugs who wanted to come a score some college girls. If you enjoyed threats of violence to your person this was your place.
I hope something decent comes back to this location.
Well, it was much better the second time. I had burger sliders (pictured), 6 wings and my friends had various burgers.
The sliders had good meat and cheese, but the buns were way too big for the sliders. I'm not a big fan of eating bread just to funsies. My friends liked their burgers, which were reasonably priced $8.99 + $1 for fries instead of chips.
The wings good, but not cheap. $5 got me six wings of average size. I chose "Fat Tuesday" out of their 30 flavors. Described as cajun with a hint of citrus (see other photo), I could taste the citrus but not much of the cajun. My previous experience with their (gross) Area 51 wings suggests that it's kind of a hit or miss with their sauces.
Overall though, we had a great time. It was a gorgeous day to have lunch outside, and their patio was mostly empty. The waitress was very attentive, and the manager even dropped by to ask us what we thought of their new menu. In short, it's not out of this world amazing, but we'll be back for another summer day.
Pretty good place if you just want to come with a few friends and hangout. They have some good drink specials. Don't come if you're looking for a wild time or anything. This seems to be not as popular as other bars in State College, but good for the money.
Specials-wise, they're cheapest pitcher is bud light currently for $5, and occasionally $1 beer nights, but not often. Reg drafts go for $2 to $2.50 after midnight too. Pretty chill place overall.
I was coming with my friends to check out this place as a club, because I know that this place also serves food during lunch if I am not mistaken. Basically the place was pretty nice. I came with some of my friends who are under 21 for some 18 and above event on wednesday if I remember correctly. The cover for 21 above was 3$, so it's good. It was 5$ or 7$ for my friends who were 18-20. We came in and the place was actually pretty slick.
When we first came in, it was the below 21 area. To order drink, I got to go to guarded area where I got my stamp checked by the bouncer. I came in and I ordered drink. It was actually really cozy. They have a comfortable couches along the wall surrounding the room. I ordered drink with my friends and sat down at the couch. People also sat on high chairs and tables in the middle of the 21 above area. It was actually a real good crowd. Not too packed, about the right number.
The dance floor was unfortunately not in the 21 above area, it was in the 18-20 area, so the alcohol free area. Nobody was actually dancing at that time, only few people. My friends decided that this was not a dance club but lounge instead. The music selection was nice, ranging from R&B and Hip Hop, well basically the ones you will listen when you tune in to 94.5 FM. The bad thing was they needed a new speaker. Their speaker was really crappy and didn't produce high quality song and that's a shame.
If you need to smoke and need some fresh air, there are outdoor seatings available. Overall it's an okay place to come and hang out with your friends. You can drink and chill at the same time. I will update if I ever come back when it is not 18-20 event.
