The only 5 star I have ever given. To say we love this place is an understatement. I had the chance to eat there again last week while visiting with our daughter. It was 4 years since the last time I was back in Michigan. We compare every Mexican restaurant we visit to Acapulco. The chips, salsa, beans, rice are perfect. The staff have changed over the years yet everyone they have are always friendly and helpful. Ask for the special sauces they have in the fridge. There is a nice salsa verde and a smokey roasted hot sauce they don't leave out on the tables. Everything is good but my favorite of all time is the Bistec A La Mexicana. I get it with the flour tortillas. Great dinner for 8.99. I had the 3 chicken tacos though for 6.99 with warm flour tortillas. Hard to make the choice between those two favorites of mine.
Review Source:This is the best Mexican food in SW Michigan. I eat Mexican food weekly and this is the place to go. The burritos are large with a great taste. We go with a Mexican/Columbian couple, and they say the food is authentic, but potions are larger than they are used to. Hard to believe such a gem in a small town like Lawrence, but I'm glad its here. Easy to get to off the highway too. Cheers!!!
Review Source:I have been going here for a few years now, and it has always been a great choice. Â Casual, friendly, clean, reasonable, and authentic are all words easily used to describe Acapulco. Â The food is always done very well, from the giant burritos and tacos to the weekend specials. Â I had the seafood soup yesterday and it was delicious and all tasted really fresh. Â The steak dishes are wonderful too. Â Most all of the dishes I have had here were large enough to take some home. Â Great family dining place as well, always busy never too crowded to find a seat. Â Enjoy
Review Source:Our family loves this restaurant! Â This family-owned Mexican establishment will not disappoint. Â The food is fantastic and reasonably priced. Â They have very good lunch specials, and speedy service. Â As with many outstanding restaurants, don't let the looks from the outside fool you. Â They put all their love and care into their cooking! Â Be aware that they might be closed for several weeks in January, as the family (wisely, in my opinion) travels to Mexico for well-earned holiday. Â Just call first. Â Also note that they don't serve alcohol, so no margaritas here (liquor licenses are extra expensive in Michigan).
