We were very happy with our first meal at Acre last night. Our server Ashley was attentive and quick. Not over the top, just right. That being said we did purposefully make our reservation after the dinner rush. We ordered two of the new seasonal cocktails, my husband liked the "Jessie's girl" and I loved the Pear - Prosecco cocktail. We started with the cheese plate. The bread and fresh butter were great as was the apple chutney. I wish the nuts had been candied or something, the saltiness did not mesh with the cheeses. Â We then ordered the ceviche and the shrimp and grits. My husband loved the ceviche and I am now a believer in shrimp and grits. It was the best I have ever had to date. Beautifully presented and the shrimp were perfect. The grits were in a crispy cake form and then it was set in a pool of lemon butter sauce. We then decided to split the burger and we wish we hadn't. Â We do have to say it was our least favorite of all the items we tried and a little overdone. I was sad to end the wonderful meal with that little disappointment. Â That being said we can't wait to go back!
Review Source:Best meal I have ever eaten. You need to make a reservation. As soon as we arrived, we were seated. Our waitress - I think her name was Barrett? - was sweet and helped explain the menu. The menu changes daily. I had red snapper w/ crawfish butter over grits and my boyfriend had the soft shell crab poboy. SO GOOD! Both! I had one of their cocktails, too - can't remember the name, but it was delicious. Highly recommend! Everything was perfect - service, food, ambiance. Can't wait to go back.
