    I assumed this would be another tex mex tourist trap, but the food was delicious and the service was great.  I had the carne con rojo.  It was excellent.  Highly recommend if looking for mexican food while visiting Gruene.

    Adobe Verde is ok, but is far from being the best place in Gruene. We ordered the shrimp fajitas for two, but they brought out the shrimp fajitas for one...and gave us the other half later when they realized it. It happens, but if you are a tourist, go to Gruene River Grill or the Gristmill instead.
