Alfredo's

Have dined here a number of times since they opened. Was surprised on this trip that the menu had changed, now offering more in the way of subs, strombolis, etc. But the main entrees are still there, making us happy. Food was wonderful, service was great and one of the busboys was allowed to play his saxophone for us on a Monday night! That's what we like about this place, it's more about doing what works, than sticking to a plan. Atmosphere was wonderful, lots of time was spent decorating (Italian ambience) and it shows. Real tablecloths, full bar and wide choice of wines. I seldom give five stars, but this is it!! We'll come back whenever we're in town (often).
They also have a banquet room which was filled, but since it's an enclosed "patio" (not outdoors) with sliding doors, you won't be bothered if you're not part of the party.

I love eating in Little Italy when visiting New York City, and Alfredo's was as good or better than anywhere I've been in NYC. We showed up around opening time, and it wasn't crowded.  All I can say is that I only give 5 stars to the best of the best, and I'd go out of my way to return to Alfredo's.  The mussels were superb, the eggplant was out of this world, and the sausages were the real deal.  If you like classic Little Italy NYC style Italian food without the fusion twist, go to Alfredo's if you are anywhere near Daytona Beach.  You won't be disappointed.

This is a super nice Italian restaurant.  The service is very friendly and the food authentic and delicious with the accompaniment of the owner (I think) singing Italian songs.  The place was crowded so we ate on the back porch which was a nice, quiet change of pace.  You won't be disappointed.
