I went here after a wedding that was right down the street and my cousin wanted to take the maid of Honor out for a drink after the wedding.
This place is your typical biker bar. Â The parking was full of motorcycles and pick-up trucks. Â The building looked like it was left over from an old west movie set. Â The inside was equally decked out. Â It had a jukebox loaded with classic rock and modern country rock. Â On the walls hung biker paraphernalia and I think I saw a toy six shooter.
As you walk in the door the local tradition is if the dog that is sitting on the stool near the door barks you get a free beer. Â I think there are also side bets about it at the bar. Â Right as we walked in the door one of the locals bought our whole group drinks. Â Everyone was immediately friendly and someone later on bought the whole bar a round of jello shots.
Our party was sucked into the "Punching Bag Game". Â This, if you don't know, is a punching bag that drops down from above. Â Then you punch it as hard as you can. Â The machine then scrolls up numbers until it reaches how hard you punched it. Â Image after a few drinks your mom shadow boxing with Eye of the Tiger in the back ground then punching the bag.
I will definitely go back to say hi to my new friends when I go back to Daytona.
This place frightened me. Â Despite the fact that my boyfriend is a biker, a bar that catered to that demographic didn't seem like a place I would enjoy - especially in a dress and heels.
Appearances are sometimes deceiving. Â A regular bought beers for the nine of us who'd walked in following a wedding nearby, and another handed out jello shots. Â The owner gave us coupons for a free drink on our next trip.
Despite preconceived notions, the bathroom was actually clean.
Owners and patrons were friendly, and the video punching bag was a big draw.
