Hollywood Cantina

First off, I think it's my responsibility as a newbie Yelper to state that this review might be a little bias.
This place is basically the ONLY gay bar in Daytona. So, as a resident of the Big Greasy, I have warm feelings towards Hollywood Cantina.

Having said that...
It's free to get in on Friday nights. Saturday nights are when it gets the busiest, and the cover is only $2. I wouldn't recommend getting there before 11 on any night. It's really a midnight crowd kind of place.
There's a big lot behind the bar that has a lot of parking, but I wouldn't recommend walking around alone back there because it's not very well lit and a little sketchy.

The bar's layout is a little strange. Comparable to a mullet- "business in the front, party in the back". If you come in through the front door, which only tourist do, you walk into the "restaurant" portion of the place. I'm pretty sure that no one has eaten there...ever. You are then forced to herd like cattle through the tiny walkway between the bar and the wall to get to the actual bar/dance floor area. In that area, there are some couches (which I would advise against using) and a few bar stools with tables. Up on the bar you will find the infamous stripper pole. By the end of any given Saturday night, you can find "Daytona's finest" up there giving everyone a free show. Not always a pretty site!
There's a Patio with another full bar outside. Decent amount of seating and a big screen where they show music videos without any sound.

At midnight, they have a drag show. Now, if you've never been to a drag show, you'll probably enjoy it because you have nothing else to compare it to. It's entertaining, but I've definitely seen a few Queens trip in their heels or drop their weave, which you would never see at a bigger city drag show.

The drinks aren't too expensive, the bartenders are all pretty friendly, and the shot boys/girls will do just about anything for a tip. The DJ plays mostly top 40, and every week they play the cupid shuffle which everyone joins in on.

Overall, it's a fun night out for any gay-friendly guy or girl. Cheap entry, with no dress code, and inexpensive drinks. It has a small town atmosphere, but first-timers and tourist are always welcomed, too.
