decent place. We went there to see a tribute to motown. The band played random songs that almost no one knew. The bad thing about this place is they serve food. They actually give you a menu from a a deli down the street. Drinks are priced reasonably but they charge for refills on my sprite.
Review Source:Caught a pretty good show here recently -- Sophie Milman -- during the Daytona Beach International Festival. Not sure if or how the set up differs from the regular shows, but it's a solid venue for jazz.
Downstairs tables were already full, and the place isn't big, so if you want to be on the floor, get there early. The upstairs balcony level was fine though. Great sound and views. Bartender knew how to pour.
Cool interior. Parking in the back. Good times.
This is a must stop if you live in or are visiting Daytona. My friends and I made it our local music scene bar and were going there every time they were playing live music. I believe unless Daytona has events going on such as, BikeWeek, Octoberfest, Speedweek, etc they only offer live music two nights a week. On Wednesdays the Daytona Beach Blues Society has a bunch of local acts that play amazing blues songs, they charge about $3 per person but worth it. If you play or sing yourself you can actually request to be part of their set. My friend sang three songs and it was awesome. Saturday nights they have some bigger named bands from the area play and charge about $5 for admission. The ambiance and decor of the bar are priceless, after all it was an old bank, they still have the vault door. It has two stories so plenty of seats and a dance floor. If you order from the downstairs bar you will be pleasantly met by Rebina(i hope I spelled your name correctly) who is the best bartender ever. The bar is also made out of old lockboxes, so cool. If you're into blues music it is so worth checking out.
