The place is huge and we had an easy time getting shoes and bowling balls even though it was a busy Saturday night. The bathrooms were really dirty though. And it was hard to get the bartender's attention to order drinks. They also cut our game off during the 10th frame, so I guess they are very literal with their 2-hour prepaid deal. Overall, we had a great time and would play here again.

Great local spot for bowling. You really can't beat the deals and offers once you become a member. At this location, the staff is very happy to serve and assist you with all your needs. The owner Is usually at the premise and is a very nice fellow who is very patriotic and will offer a discount for military. It's nothing less than 5 because my overall satisfaction to include family, guests, and friends ive brought , all share the same view.

I went there a few weeks ago. Love the location and the place is very clean. I have been bowling many times before but I am never the one selecting the package. I approach the counter clerk and asked for some advise , but he was very rude!!! After paying, me and my family settle in and prepared for our fun night of bowling, the same clerk that took my money still didn't turn on on lane and then had to ask him to turn it on...there again he give me his stink attitude. Love the place, hate the service!

I bowl regularly with my friends and this is one of two houses we frequent more often, the other being Herrill Lanes.

This place is huge with an ample number of lanes. For the most part, the place is clean. The bar has good prices on pitchers and has those ice blocks that go into the pitchers to keep the beer cold. The coffee shop has decent food, but is pricey for what is served.

My only issue is the condition of the approaches on the lanes. You can see some dirt and grime on the wood that you are to slide on and on more than one occasion, I've stuck and almost fallen. The condition of this portion of the lanes is due to the fact that the place is so big that they cannot police the entire place and you can see people goofing off on the lanes at times (people bringing drinks/food on to the lane or doing "trick" shots where they sit on the lanes/wearing sneakers on the lane/putting their hands/feet over the foul lines on purpose).

We always come here for bowling practices for the church team. The place can get packed on league nights, which makes it tough to find a free lane. They also seem to have a problem with printing out scores when you need them. The food is meh, nothing great, but definitely over priced.

Read my review of WhiteStone Lanes? Plainly put, Sheridan is everything that WhiteStone ain't. It may be a little bit out the way for a casual bowling trip, but if you take bowling semi seriously or just want a nice decor with some great looking lanes then it's well worth the trip.

Huge place with lots of lanes. Super clean place with laid back staff. They pretty much lurk in the shadows, but if you have a request or ask for help they'll promptly take care of you. I think they drop the lights and throw on music around nine or ten, not positive about the time. They play really radio friendly music, nothing to hype you up or to get a party started. Maybe I can convince 'em to hire a DJ for Friday and Saturday nights? only downside I can really think of.

No need to run around the place looking for just the right bowling ball on scattered racks. You pick up you're bowling ball the same time you pick up your shoes. I think it's pretty cool that you can request the weight of your bowling ball and the preferred finger size as well. All the bowling balls look brand new; not a nick or a scratch in sight and no need to trade in your shoes to get a pair of house bowling shoes. I guess they actually trust their patrons which is oh so different than getting patted down upon entry at WhiteStone. Maybe it's not much, but it's the little stuff like this that makes me appreciate the place.

Nice Bar; Bottled Beer and Beer on tap. Variety of liquors and frozen alcoholic beverages. High quality finger foods that range from nachos, big pretzels, chicken wings, pizza and so on. The last time around the wings were looking a little on the gray side, like a pale grey hue. I don't know if it was the black light reflecting off the chicken or maybe they had a radioactive batch of wings that night. Shrug. All I know is I ate em, they were good and I'm still here to write this review.

Nothing much else to say. Sheridan Lanes.

They stuck all the Koreans in the same section.

6 lanes strong.

I guess they assumed we were on a church outing.

I've been going here for about 3 years. I've been to many other bowling alleys, and this place is very well maintained. I haven't had the food there, but it seemed like typical bowling alley food. The bar, however, I have visited and they make a good Long Island Iced Tea. They have a full bar, decent tap and well made drinks. The prices are reasonable on a regular basis (but they have special prices at noted times). Overall, one of my favorites.

My co-workers and I arrived to this bowling center on a Friday evening at about 6:30 or so. We drove for at least 15-20 minutes going east on Union Turnpike through many traffic lights just to get to this bowling alley in Garden City. I was the first one to arrive, so I checked out the almost desolate bowling alley thinking it was a quiet evening. When my co-workers arrived, we walked over to the counter. I waited at the counter to get the employee's attention, but he did not seem eager to acknowledge me. The employee at the counter nonchalantly told us that all lanes are booked until 9:30PM before I can even get my sentence out. I thanked him and left the counter only to return to ask him if we could possibly book a lane in advance next time. He shook his head no and that was the whole story.

So, if I'm not in a league or birthday party or whatever event, I'm just not good enough to be a customer for this bowling alley. How come we can book in advance for leagues and parties, but not for individual use? How are we supposed to know if there's an event going on? I wasted my gas and time for this bowling alley even though I just joined the AMF bowling club to get discounts. The great thing about the discounts is that you can use it at any AMF bowling alley. It's bad enough that bowling places hike up prices just so a customer can have a moment of fun. This evening was not going to be wasted as my co-workers and I will spend our money somewhere else.

In the past, I did get to play here with my co-workers at AMF with no problems. I guess it's a hit or miss. I'm sure we'll be back here again since nobody seems to like Strike's http://www.yelp.com/biz/… for its price and features.

I did come back here eventually again and we were able to secure 99 cents bowling per person (just signed up at the http://www.amf.com website for special deals). I'd never go to AMF unless I had a discount coupon with me. It's sort of like going to Bed, Bath, and Beyond. Everyone always has a coupon every time they shop because the prices are high without a coupon.

We had an overly eager waitress who came by periodically to ask us if we would like to order anything either from the bar or whatnot. I've never seen this type of service before. At the same time, this waitress was very chatty with other employees. Personally, I don't like being bothered. If I wanted something I would have went up myself, but I give them some effort points. If not for this service, I would have brought this rating down to two-stars.

PROS: is an AMF bowling alley (AMF gives good bowling deals)
CONS: Hit or miss service

2 stars are only for the good memories i had w/ my friends there ...

- horrible customer service skills (beware of giant mean blonde lady and guy with mustache)
- lanes are pretty bad - bowling balls got stuck in there and the mechanic took 20min to fix it.

This is my favorite bowling alley, even thought it's 13 miles away from my home and there's always a lone wait during league night.
Their lanes are very well maintained, they are also longer, almost double the length of the lanes in most bowling alleys. Their staff are super friendly, pro shop is great, food is great (for a bowling alley), and they have a sport bar with several tvs on the wall.
Oh, they also have specials on drinks.
