Hunters Pub

I come here when I visit my boyfriend, it's walking distance and Medford isn't good with small cozy bars. If you want a bar where people know your name and you see the same faces, go here. Good prices and drinks and it's cozy. It's a small town bar and that's what you have to expect. They don't serve food and there is no donkey butt on the wall.

So, I don't like to give negative reviews that often especially to small businesses in this economy but there are a few things that bothered me about this place.  

First off there is a taxidermy donkey butt on the wall..not sure what this pub is going for but that's only one of the various dead animal parts they have hanging. They serve food and have that "ass" on the wall in one of their booths..?  Who wants to eat looking at that?  Do you really need to read on?

The bar is very long and narrow and was packed when I went for a live band/benefit event.  That was expected but it was annoyingly tight. The bands playing were too cramped and it was very uncomfortable. Perhaps the event holders are more to blame in their location choice on that.

I'm not sure how this place is during normal non event days or weekends but I wouldn't go back especially since I started smelling cigarette smoke inside.

It's your Standard Townie Bar.  Look, if you're not a "Frog" it's unlikely you'd ever go here.

I give an extra star here solely because it's the only bar within walking distance.
