Anchor Lodge

This is not a "hotel".
THESE ARE ROOMS UNDERNEATH A RESTAURANT THAT SMELLS LIKE FISH.

Gross, ugly, smells like smoke. Notice the pictures don't show the rooms? It's because the walls are covered in fake wood, with bed spreads that aren't even manufactured anymore.

The only good part was I recognized some of the restaurant from "Humanoids From The Deep".

We wouldn't stay anywhere else in the Fort Bragg area.  My husband and I stayed here with our baby in August? of 2011.  We had an oceanfront room, which was amazing.  If you are expecint the furnishings of the Hilton, you may be disappointed.  The furnishings may be slightly outdated, but they were good enough and clean.  The room was extremely spacious with a full table and four chairs.  Although I think we may have had the wheelchair accessible room.

It was so wonderful to just spend time in the room, watching the sea lions playing in the water.  We loved watching the fishing boats go out in the morning and coming back in the evening.  The room had a private balcony right over the water.  

As for the restaurant above, the food was very blah.  It was way overpriced for what you get.  We would never eat there again.  Our favorite place in town was the local pizza place: PIaci Pizza.  The best!

Loved it!  We stayed two nights, nice king bed, amazing views of Noyo harbor.  Its the only place to stay in Ft. Bragg for me.
