Ask for vinegar and oil for the Italian sub!

The Pizza:  Blown away by the epic size of the super large pizza!  It was good too!  There were 16 slices, and each slice was probably at least 14 inches long, and 4-5 inches wide at the crust.  It was super greasy and tasty.  My family descended upon it and there wasn't anything left.  During the eating of this epic pizza, everyone kept saying stuff like, "This is good!," and "MMM", and "This is the biggest pizza I've ever seen in my life."  The kicker is that it was about $35 after putting pepperoni on it.  It's not cheap.

The Subs:  I have always loved Anna's Italian sub.  It's pretty simple:  salami and I think bologna, and if not, maybe ham, and lettuce with Italian dressing, tomatoes, and that's it.  But it sure it is good.  My sister asked for oil and vinegar after our subs were delivered and it came out in this neat bottle, and is house-made.  My bro-in-law got the parmesan veal sub and it was good too, but I prefer my Italian.

The Service:  Just based on my recent experience, the service was fine.  Our waitress took our orders without much of a wait, and kept us fully stocked on drinks, and didn't disappear after leaving the check

    Definitely a fan.

Came here on a Friday evening and we were lucky because we got seated right before the crowd hit.  I say this because when we were leaving, people were waiting to be seated.

My date ordered the chicken francese and I went with the ravioli.  He graciously offered to let me taste the chicken.  It was lemony and moist.  Pretty good stuff.  The raviolis were cheesy and delicious.

The portions are pretty good and the entrees come with a salad.   Not too crazy about their house dressing, so I'll probably get ranch if I go again.

Their waitstaff is hit or miss, I'm not wild about their prices, and for a restaurant that touts themselves as family oriented, they don't have a changing table and they have a few highchairs. HOWEVER, I will look past that because their food is good. The Italian sausage, dough, sauce, and house dressing are all made from scratch. I love the pizza, it's just the right amount of cheese and sauce and the subs are great too. I am not a huge fan of pasta in general, so pizza and subs are my go to. The dining area is small with a tiny overflow section in the back. They also have an area that you can rent for receptions. On Friday nights it can feel a bit cramped which is why I tend to order take out. And the best part? They have a drive thru!

Our Italian connection in Smithfield...they have really excellent daily specials. One of my favorites is their Alfresco Pizza, it is a twist on a Margharita pizza...oh so delicious.

Alright, I'm reading a review a minute ago, just after my wife finished eating some pizza from there, and some IDIOT is telling the world that the crust was 'soft', that the peppers and onions weren't cooked, and it got me to thinking. Yeah, you know, flexing the ole melon, as it were, and it made me think of something: IF YOU DO NOT LIKE THIS PLACE, PLEASE DO US A FAVOR AND GO POUND SAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Nice people, nice food, nice beer, what in the hell else do you need, folks, a goddamned Ramsey-style five-freakin'-star joint?? It's a local pizza joint, so shut the hell up and either enjoy it or grab some sand and, well, you know, POUND IT!

Did not expect great Italian fare but were pleasantly surprised.  The food was more than passable, service good and friendly staff.  We are use to good ethnic food and got it.

Anna's is a traditional family owned Italian restaurant and meets just about every expectation you have of them. From the excellent atmosphere, including authentic decorations, to the wonderful food, Anna's never disappoints. Good wine list to pair with some excellent unique entrees or even their unmatched pizza and sub menu.

Anna's is a very casual, friendly Italian restaurant in small-town Smithfield. The staff knows their customers well and Anna herself is typically around to greet the guests. The decoration is primarily movie posters in Italian and the tables are set with red & white checked, plastic tablecloths -- think Pizza Hut, circa 1988. Not classy, but cute and a touch nostalgic.

The food here is pretty average -- nothing is particularly good or memorable. However, it is consistent and never bad. You won't find much better to eat in this area, so Anna's is certainly worth a try.
