Ok, I'm a downstate NYC pizza snob, there, I said it...this must be made abundantly clear that I generally look at any "pizza" beyond the five boroughs as being a triangular drawing on cardboard with crayons - so any pizza establishment outside my geographical comfort zone will already be stared at with a jaundice eye of condescension. So while recently barnstorming the wine regions of the Hudson Valley & developing a hankering for some red sauce & cheese after an afternoon of vino, I "yelped" my way into Antonia's and just have to cut to the chase and say I was quite surprised & pleased for what it was. My companion had 2 slices of veggie pizza that were chock full of vegetables & had a nice eye appeal while I went the full Monty with 2 slices of regular (a decent & tasty effort overall) & a chicken parm hero (competently made with crusty, toasted bread, copious amounts of a decent industrial mozzarella & lots of chopped chicken cutlet) - tasty offerings overall, comfy environs & a friendly and efficient waitstaff...in NYC would be a 6-7 but a solid 9 for upstate, and from me, that's a rave!
Review Source:Pleasantly surprised with how much I liked this place. We were in town for the night with no idea where to get food. We saw this place in a strip mall and weren't sure we'd like it, but man-o-man it was good. I got some pasta dish with broccolli, sausage and garlic. Man it was GOOD! Decent selection of beers, reasonable prices. If this place was near us we'd go often.
Review Source:I have been eating here forever it seems, now that I live in AZ I still make it a point to stop by for something to eat. Its usually always good but not great, never bad though so that is a big thing. The place has not changed a bit in all these years. I got some tortellini alfredo and a salad, it was very good. Will return next year to give them my business.
Review Source:Food is excellent, service casual yet attentive. A great place for family dining. (An ocasional issue is loud families).
Excellent Penne Ala Vodka and Chicken Ala Antonio proof this is much more than a pizza place.
Visiting relatives ask that we go here, rather than to more expensive Italian restaurant.
Expansion coming soon!
