Came here for dinner with my girlfriend. Customer service was nothing special, a lot of the employee's just acted like they had to be there or their mom would kick them out. Our waitress was pretty nice though, she was fascinated by my tattoos and wanted to show another waitress.
So we order our drinks, it took about 10 minutes for us to receive them after ordering them. When we finally get them we were ready to order. We ordered the '2 for 20' 9oz steaks with only broccoli and mashed potatoes, cooked medium-rare. Took about another 10 minutes to get our appetizer we order (spicy boneless wings). 10 minutes after that, the manager runs our food out to our table & asks us to cut them to make sure they were cooked right. The food was perfect, as good as it's going to get for Applebee's standards. Steak was juicy, broccoli was well cooked and mashed potatoes were warm and tasty.
So overall our experience there was pretty good. Will definitely be coming back & would recommend this place.
This particular Applebees was great a while back. Â Don't know what happened. Â Took my wife and son on a Friday afternoon. Â The first thing I noticed was that there was no one to open the second door on my way in - which is something I got used to. Â Then, once we were inside, we literally stood there - just inside the door - waiting and waiting before anyone greeted us. Â I should note that after standing there for five minutes, we seated ourselves at a nearby booth. Â So, after waiting a total of eleven minutes to talk to an employee, a waitress walked up and apologized for the wait. Â She told us that she was busy outside with a customer who was picking up food in the parking lot. Â I asked why there wasn't a greeter inside and she said that they had been cutting back on labor. Â Food wasn't what it usually is. Â I ordered the quesadilla burger and the meat tasted dry and the tortilla was too hard.. Â My wife and son got the 2 for 20 deal. Â My wifes Bourbon Street Chicken and Shrimp was a big disappointment to her because the chicken was overly blackened. Â I sat and watched her use a spoon to scrape off some of that burned meat. Â My son's Three Cheese Chicken Penne was the only plate that got a solid rating. Â He said it tasted pretty good. Â I asked the waitress if we could speak with the manager before paying and she said she would ask her to come. Â We waited and waited. Â She never came and I was upset to the point that I decided to leave things "as is." Â Just as we were leaving after paying, we saw someone we think was the manager who was dressed differently wave us goodbye. Â I told my wife that It'd be a long time 'til I give this place another chance.
Review Source:I don't even think this place deserves a single star. Nothing about our visit was good. We went on Saturday night. They said twenty minute wait, we waited over one hour. The french onion soup was obviously microwaved and luke warm inside. Â I sent it back and meanwhile our appetizer came, spinach artichoke dip, it was good. However less than two minutes later our entrees came. My steak was undercooked baked potato black on bottom. My daughter received mashed potatoes instead of baked. Then two minutes after our entrees arrived our soup was returned in the same manner that it was in first place. The waitress was nice and apologetic however never once picked up a single plate. which i stacked neatly because simply otherwise there would be zero room on the table. After all this the manager comes to table and says she heard about all the happenings however she wishes she knew earlier which she repeated several times with an apology. She never offered to replace anything which at that point all we wanted to do was get out anyway, but it would have been a nice gesture. I have worked in the restaurant industry for almost three decades. This location is a disgrace to the couple other Applebees i have patronized and makes me weary of ever going to any location ever again. The ENTIRE dining experience that evening was HORRIBLE Â from beginning to to end. As much as i dislike fast-food this place left me wishing we had went to the Jack In The Box next door.
Review Source:Ewww....When I first walked in, this place smelled like a porta-potty. Â What the hell? Plus it's about 85 degrees outside and their AC is't working? Sucks!
So we sat at the bar area and I noticed that the bar was sticky and disgusting. Â I asked the waiter if this table was cleaned and he said it already was. Â Liar. Â So we ordered drinks and my Long Island Iced Tea so watered down, I wasn't even sure they put any in there. Â Beer was flat as well.
Food took freaking forever to come out and the waiter hardly served us. Â He was too focused on the girls who were flirting with him. Â You have a freaking job here! Do it already! Â Water was hardly filled and he had such a diva attitude. Â That's grand.
Food finally came and it was mediocre. Â What do you expect from Applebees? Â Basically this place is just another craphole. Â He obviously didn't get a tip from me. Â SUCK IT!
If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Applebee's food and drinks are always good and I have no complaints there. At least, I can't have any complaints about the food, because after sitting in the restaurant for over an hour, we never received any.
We went on a Saturday night at 7pm. The restaurant was not very busy, and we were seated right away. A server came by and took our drink order, and these were delivered pretty quickly. We placed our food order, which was fairly simple: we were 2 couples and we ordered the exact same thing. It took 25 minutes for the couple we were with to get their appetizer, and we had to remind the server that we had ordered the same dish. The server stated that she knew, and that it would be out "in just a minute."
One minute passed and many more followed. We saw people who came into the restaurant after us getting their entrees. We still sat, with empty drink glasses, waiting for our appetizer. It took another half hour or so for a server to come by and say that our appetizer would be out in "just a minute" but at that point, we just wanted them to cancel it, since we were expecting our actual meal to come. It never did. Nor did anyone ask if we wanted refills on our drinks.
After it became clear that we would not be getting our dinners anytime soon, we asked to speak to a manager. To her credit, she apologized and said that this was inexcusable. We agreed. She asked if we would be willing to wait for "just a minute" while she went to check on our food. Our minutes had been used up, and we just wanted to leave. She comped our drinks, and the appetizer that had been delivered to our friends, which hadn't been touched, since they were waiting for us to get our food as well.
This was a horrible experience, made worse by the fact that the staff at this Applebee's is always inattentive. I can't chalk it up to one bad night. I think from now on, I'll be sticking to Chili's.
I been to this place twice. Pros, they sever drinks and food until 1am which is cool if you want to take a date or hang out with some friends In in a melo environment on the weekend. Â The mix drinks were strong and served in big glasses, also had an appitezer and my total came out to $30 bucks which is not bad. Cons, they do not show a variety of sporting and seldom fights. This place doesn't have a sports bar vibe, if the lakers were playing I might come here to watch it.Overall ok place in the valley for decent American food and drinks.
