ANOTHER LivingSocial Voucher brought us back ($30 dine-in only this time) early on a Saturday evening. Service was amateur as expected but friendly, albeit distant - slow (they seemed a bit understaffed) and received the wrong check initially, but smiling throughout. It was $33.73 for the lobster special (solid standby), fried oyster/fried shrimp special (tasty for the most part but wouldn't get again, and definitely not with the weak roasted red potato side), and (yes, again) a side of fried clam strips that fared much better when not driven 10 minutes home before enjoying.
Review Source:Very laid back/casual place...plastic tablecloths, cups, etc. which was exactly what we were looking for. Â I visit this part of L.I. during the summer from Austin,Tx, so when I've had my fill of Italian food (my in laws are all 100% Italians) I start craving fresh seafood. We passed by Atlantic Seafood Market a few times on our way to the beach and decided to stop by and have dinner. We ordered calamari and baked clams for apps...pretty good calamari, crispy and not too greasy and the baked clams were pretty good as well, though I've never really been into them. I decided to get steamed seafood for dinner, which consisted of a good sized bucket of shrimp, PEI mussels and steamer clams for 19.99. Included in that price was a normal salad or coleslaw and a baked potato...I opted for the salad and a baked potato- nothing to shake a stick at but I didn't come here for either of those. Â Seafood was fresh and delicious, I will definitely come back next summer. Â 4 star rating for quality and price. Service was great and waitstaff were very attentive and friendly. Review Source:This was a good restaurant after fun at the beach. My friend and I was looking for a seafood restaurant in the area. After driving around lost, I used my yelp to find this place. I must say, yelp saved the day. I can't see this place being any good in a city setting but it sure fit well in thei neighborhood.
You walk in from the parking area thinking its a seafood market but it's also a restaurant. The fish is fresh and they have plenty of dishes to choose from. I like the seafood pizzas and the crab cakes.
I know where I'll be going to eat after a day at the beach
Finally took the time for dinner here, me, hubs, and my parents, so I got to try a bit of many good things. Â I had the combo plate broiled, which was huge and included shrimp, (bay?) scallops, flounder fillet, and roasted potatoes, and came with a salad. Â A side of New England clam chowder was fine, but nothing special. Â The burger was good, but the king crab legs were so sweet and tasty, everyone's favorite. Â We initially thought we'd all go for the lobster dinner deal, but ended up with other dishes. Â The prices are good/fair, but certainly not cheap. Â I didn't mind the plastic plates and cups, though it felt more appropriate for summer. Â As other reviewers noted, bring cash to tip.
Review Source:We were driving by looking for someplace to eat and saw the huge shark mouth entrance...who could resist! Â It was well worth it. They had a 1 1/4 lb lobster special dinner for only $12.99! Â We all decided on that along with clams on the half shell and 2 of us got the Manhattan clam chowder! Â The clams were fresh and delicious, we chose to go with cherrystones, but the also offered the smaller topnecks or littlenecks. The chowder was delicious and hearty, full of veggies and lots of clam! Â As for the lobster, it was steamed to perfection, and totally delicious! Â It came with a house salad or cole slaw and a choice of a single side dish, all of which were also equally good.
Sure they served everything on plastic plates, but who cares!!! Â The food is the important thing, and they get it just right, and at the right price! Â The staff is friendly, quick and efficient. For informal seafood dining, this place can't be beat. I highly recommend it!
I got stuffed mushrooms and they were probably some of the best I've ever had although the mussels were not as good. The mussels were cooked well but had almost no flavor, which was disappointing. I should have gotten it with red sauce instead of white. My husband loved his fried fish.
Review Source:Fresh, well prepared standard fish shack fare, earnest young servers, good prices. The Peconic bay oysters and raw clams were impeccable. Addictively good fries, too.
Was a fish market with takeout that became a restaurant. For some reason they still serve everything on plastic and paper, even though it's become a big place. Get a dishwasher, people!
Bring cash; no gratuities on credit cards!
I found this place using Yelp while I was in Center Moriches. Â The place is very customer friendly. Â I had the appetizer combo which is a shrimp lovers dream. Â The peel and eat shrimp is much tastier than the shrimp cocktail shrimp that's already peeled. Â The baked clams were good and the clams casino were better. Â I had the oyster po boy sandwich which was good. Â I wich I would have ordered the lobster though. Â The wife had the lobster bisque which was tasty. Â She also had the mussels which were just OK. Â All in all a vey nice place.
Review Source:Fresh, inexpensive food. Nice selection. Personal, friendly service. If you can deal with plastic utensils and cups, you'll love it. We go here often. My usual is the Manhattan clam chowder, peel and eat shrimp appetizer, and the snow crab dinner (which I will be having again in a couple of hours). The lobster pizza is good, too. And the coconut shrimp. And the beer-battered cod. And the seafood fra diavolo...
Review Source:There be a fine little fish market and casual seafood restaurant behind them cement megalodon jaws that arch the doorway to Center Moriches' Atlantic Seafood Fish Mkt. . . (see pics): There's a great interior as well in this old roadside establishment, a plastic tablecloth, utensils, & plates place, where you either order it up from the menu, the daily specials board, or point to something behind the glass cases. . . Â they'll be glad to steam or broil it up for you. Â Great execution on the bisques, chowders, soft shell crabs, bivalves on halfshells, steamers, coconut scrimps (w/ a refreshing pineappe sauce), Â mussels fra diavlo. .. Â etc. Â The fries here are unskinned, fresh cut, and seasoned with a sea salt. . . right on. Â Fresh shrimp prepared on site. . . easy on the iodine. Â Range of domestic bottles from Bud Lights up to Sam Adams. . . what else can I say, Atlantic Seafood is unreal, and fairly priced. Â I'm going back for that oyster Po'Boy.
