Fun place to drink with friends. Jay P. was right on with the sweaty butthole smell.  But still a fun place to drink and play foosball or pool :)

I can't possibly say enough great things about The Attic - it is simply my single all time favorite restaurant.  From the excellent food (shockingly fresh and everything made in house) to the welcoming and friendly service from Andy and crew The Attic knows how to be a great pub/restaurant.  It's also a place with a split personality offering fantastic bar fare for lunch (truly the best burgers, wraps, sandwiches and salads for lunch in Boulder) then offering a loud, vibrant bar atmosphere at night.

Did I mention how great the food is?  The Attic has a very varied menu and will easily customize any dish any way you'd like it (try the Chipotle Chicken sandwich as a wrap, it's fantastic).  If you're in the area and hungry do yourself a favor and drop in.  Oh and Monday is $5 burger day (normally $9-10).

Best piece of Wisconsin here in boulder! Try the cheese curds--cheaper than a flight home, same effect.

Went here for a late lunch on a recent business trip. Had a burger and a few beers. Really nice atmosphere. The service was good and food as well. Nice that it was off of the main thoroughfare, quiet (at that time of day). I'll visit again next time.

Awesome food! Great Bartenders.... Went in on Sunday. The first bartender was extremely attentive. We were there for about an hour before her shift ended. We were sad to see her go because we were having such a good time. But the night bartender was equally as awesome and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. The live music was a little loud but good. Free pool and plenty of games to keep u entertained. Fun bar!

the bar tender is a jerk, we ordered a drink and he was snippy so we thought he was having a bad night and over looked it. and we gave him 30%. Then we ordered another round and he was even more of a jerk so the tip % dropped. He then came around the bar and demanded we leave. he told us our tip wasn't good enough and we had to go.

Had a pretty solid time here while in town for a wedding.

I love how they had lots of fun things to do. Pool, foosball, the hockey game and nudie photo hunt. All things I enjoy doing while drinking with friends. I really liked how the pool was free, too. It can get quite annoying when it is not and allows for faster games and more variety of people playing.

To put it bluntly, the service flat out blew. At the time there was a waitress walking around and two bartenders. While playing pool, I asked the waitress for a drink. She told me she wasn't on, walked away, then handed food to the guys at the other pool table. No waitress ever came back out except for her.

At one point, it was my turn to shoot, so I sat my drink down on the corner of the foosball table. Some drunk girl knocked it over and I was accosted by the male bartender for placing my drink on the foosball table. The drunk girl got off scott free because the bartender wanted to bang her. Later, I went up to order a round of beers. Told the guy "6 PBRs".... he started making purple drinks, so I assumed he was finishing up someone else's order first. He then put them in front of me and asked me for some outlandish amount of money. I looked at him and said those aren't PBRs... he told me I asked for Fat Alberts or something. Not even knowing what the hell that is, nor having ever heard of said drink in my 27 years on this Earth, I told him he was mistaken. Three strangers around me backed me up. The bartender just started talking crap to me, mumbling under his breath and pouring out the drinks. I told him to forget it and ordered the rest of my drinks for the night from the female bartender who actually knew how to do her job and knew how to treat customers.

If not for that one waitress being lazy and that one bartender being a dick, this place most certainly could have been in contention for five stars.

I came here twice during my stay in Colorado. Once in the evening and once in the afternoon. The atmosphere is dramatically different, however both times were very enjoyable. There is an arcade/pool area and plenty of space, during the day that is. The nights were packed, as the people were almost standing shoulder to shoulder talking and having a good time. The bartenders were still able to get the drinks out very quickly and we had a wonderful time here.

I tried some of the food during the day and it was very good. We had the ribs, chicken, and jalapeno poppers. I would recommend stopping by and trying Attic Bar & Bistro out!

Went here on a Friday during spring break, I was excited because my girl is friends with one of the owners relatives and she told us we would be well taken care of. So we walk in and our contact owner wasn't there, not a big deal. We pull up to the bar, there are 4 guys at the other end, and a 2 top behind us, that's all! There was 1 bartender and 2 cocktail waitresses, so plenty of help there. The bartender was talking with the guys at the end, she walked past us to grab them a beer, ignored us and then went back to them. The cocktail waitress grabbed 2 beers for the other people in the bar and walked past us. The bartender then looked at us and then processed to not look again. This was 6:30-7 at night, not closing time, opening time, no excuse for no service at all. Unless we are out with our friend I highly doubt I'd ever give them my money.

This one's easy.... best burger in Boulder, hands down, and they're $5 on Monday.  A screaming deal

Friendly service, ipod music (and the bartenders have good taste).  Great sandwiches, soups and salads if you're not up for a burger (silly you).  I've had the best white russian ever here as well.

Also great after a serious hike on the weekend.  Breakfast runs until 4 - grab the breakfast burrito smothered in green chili, a bloody and beer.

Looking for a place with nice bartenders and cheap drinks? Don't go to the Attic.... They do serve food which is a nice touch, and usually have plentiful seating. They have pool and some bowling video game, however it's a small space that quickly gets crowded, the bartenders have always been extremely rude, and the drinks are ridiculously overpriced considering. All in all, I avoid it when I can.

This place has to have the best late night food in all of Boulder.  Used to go here all the time when I worked on Pearl St.  The crowd tends to be a bit younger especially on the weekends.  Gets SUPER crowded late night on the weekends so be prepared to possibly be turned away if you come too close to last call.  Also has Sunday ticket and a fair amount of TVs and drink and food specials during the game.  Another great special is $5.00 burger night where you can get any burger on their menu with fries for only five bucks.

    Some of my favorite items

Jalepeno corn chowder (great in the winter)
pretty much any of their burgers
Screen Doors and Fat Alberts (Two of their specialty drinks)

Took a friend here last weekend in thanks for helping me with my car in the sweltering heat.  This place is on the 2nd story of an office building on the west side of Walnut in town - it doesn't take much imagination to figure out where they got their name from.  Definitely NOT handicap-accessible (it's stairs all the way up).  The space looks about 50% foosball/pool table area, with 2 really comfy leather couches nearby and I think a jukebox?...25% bar area, and 25% dining area, I think there were about 10-12 tables.  We were there on a Saturday night around 8, and the 1 server who was there was either unmotivated or somewhat "baked"...just pretty slow, languid moving.  Friendly, but noncommittal.  The place was largely empty when we walked in, but by the time we left, the bar was fully loaded up, so there must be something about this place.

For me, the only outstanding reason to come here is this: their burgers (and I'm guessing sammies) are world-class and amazing.  About $8-9 a pop, but you get a massive feast for your devouring pleasure.  You can even get a choice of sweet potato fries, along with the other choices of salad, baked potato or standard fries! Skinny, but tasty.  They were out of 2 out of 6 beers on the menu when we arrived, and the 3rd I asked about they didn't even carry anymore (doh), but they did have something else called Tetley beer -- when I think of Tetley I normally think of tea -- this stuff is probably one of the smoothest liquids I have ever drank.  There's little...I don't know what the right word is.  Bite? to it...my friend immediately ordered a pint up.  I ended up getting the 90shilling.

The main page of their website is very colorful -- but that's all you get is the 1 page; and shows what their dinner specials are every night, as well as game day saturday and sunday specials, and happy hour specials from 3-6pm.  I took a few pics of the dining/bar area and will post them not too far away.

Summary: Great food, but meh service -- but popular amongst the locals, I guess.  Maybe the bartender kicks ass.

Went to the Attic the first time yesterday with a friend for lunch. They have a great deal.... any burger for $5 on Monday for lunch!

I got "The Attic" burger which is provolone, grilled onions and smoked bacon with a side of their homemade bbq sauce. Yumbo! The steak fries were great as well. Service was nice and friendly by the guy who was also running the bar.

I would definitely go back and try their other burgers.

A fun place to go for cheap beer and games.  It has the college vibe but not the rowdy, frat type of vibe that can get annoying when you're getting "old" like I am.  They sell Old Style - which is a huge plus for those that like crappy cheap beer.

This is my go to place in boulder - so while I live in denver, I like to mix it up once in awhile and head to b-town.

Why is the attic so great?

    Great entertainment value

    1. Free Pool  - good ( 2 unwarped tables, straight cues)
    2. 75 cent foosball
    3. Golden Tee Live machine
    4. Old School stick hockey game
    5. lots of friendly, willing opponents

    Comfort  / Convenience factors:

    1. Very comfortable couches by the pool tables
    2. 2 bars - one for each area
    3. real friendly wait staff / bartenders
    4. separate seating area for food  / drinks
    5. they make last call at 1.45am which is a nice feature
    6. music is fantastic - oldies to hip hop mixed together, very solid

The place is normally not packed until 1am or so, which is somewhat nice - in general the crowd is much more relaxed and friendly vs. denver.  Always a large line of willing opponents for the games which is nice.

I go here for lunch about once a week. Great pub food, decent prices, one of the few places where you can interact with the owners on a regular basis. Burger Monday is the best lunch deal going.

The Attic is primarily a bar -- and a good one at that with the couches, pool tables and less college kids -- but its a decent restaurant too.

You're not going to get a five-star meal here by any means, but the food is surprisingly good for a bar. Plus it's great for getting a late night snack if needed with drinks.   The Cuban sandwich is my favorite for lunch.

The Attic somehow stays open 15 minutes later than the rest of Pearl Street, so there is a flood of drunks to the bar between 1 and 2 am.  It can get very crowded around last call.  They often have good specials on PBR, but I usually come here for Fat Alberts (alcohol and purple stuff).  There's nothing about the Attic that really stands out over the rest of the bars in the Pearl Street area other than its hours, but I've never had a bad Attic experience.  Overall, it's a pretty solid bar.

The Attic is my favorite place to go in Boulder.  The food is yummy (especially the burgers) and prices are very resonable.  Bartenders are very friendly and do a great job.  Happy Hour is everyday 3-6 with tasty small plates $3 and under.  The front bar has a nice loft-like atmosphere with tall windows, art on the walls and hanging plants.  The back bar has comfy couches and FREE pool!!  All in all the attic can't be beat, just make sure to get out of there before 1:30am when all the drunk college kids roll in for last call.

I'm definitely a fan. We've been here a handful of times both when living in Boulder and after leaving. I've eaten both breakfast and dinner here and enjoyed them immensely. Food was yummy, prices solid and good drink specials.

Our most recent experience was worth mentioning them on Yelp. We had family in town and were up in Boulder touring the sights. I had an entertainment book coupon so we stopped here for lunch and found out that they served breakfast till 4pm on the weekends. A big plus for me!

The waitress (who was really sweet) promptly took our order and went to brew us a pot of coffee. A few minutes later another waiter came and asked if our order had been taken. He came back to confirm the order and ran to the kitchen to make sure it was under way. It seemed to be taking a while for breakfast as the table nearby us got their food very quickly.

We eventually got our food and told the waiter we still hadn't received our coffee. So he ran off and another man came back with one piping hot cup of coffee, which was when we asked for the two more we ordered. So when he came back with the other two after our request we asked what was going on. He said that a family issue had sprung up with the waitress and they were scrambling to cover her tables.

Our food was delicious. The huevos rancheros was excellent. Really fresh and tasty. The challah french toast was also tasty and the hashbrowns and bacon were cooked just to my liking. Crispy but without being burned.

The manager and the waiter/cook did a great job taking care of us and asked about our every need. They also covered our entire check and ultimately handled a difficult situation in a way that I thought was really professional and kind.

We hadn't complained to the waiter or manager and definitely would have paid for our meals despite the snaffus. I think the Attic deserves props for great service in a tough situation as well as delicious food at good prices. I've been to far more expensive, places with crappier food and terrible service that didn't even so much as apologize.

We just moved to Boulder and are missing the nightlife of Seattle. We stumbled across the Attic after walking around forever on Pearl. The staff was super nice and the food was pretty yummy too. The atmosphere is a cross between a typical tavern (pool tables, games, etc) and a modern loft. The high ceilings and huge windows gave a really nice feel and it was nice to see art on the walls.

My company recently moved offices, and a couple of co-workers kept speaking highly of The Attic, so I finally gave it a try for lunch recently.  I get the feeling I may not necessarily want to stop by on a typical evening (but that's just my starting-to-feel-old/hermit nerdiness kicking-in)

Many years ago this location was home to a very reasonably priced and fairly delicious Chinese restaurant that I frequented pretty often.   Now that it has been converted to The Attic, I had no idea what a great space it was.   It's got some really nice windows which face the Flatirons and provide lots of great natural sunshine-- it's a great place to get some sunshine to make up for the LCD tan after being behind a computer all morning.   The space itself is like your favorite pair of jeans-- a bit worn out but very cozy and comfortable.

The guy who runs the place is really great-- he knows his customers, and is very gregarious and attentive without getting in your business too much.  It seems that once he knows you well enough he might give you a little bit of friendly fire which is a-ok in my book.

Most of the table ordered the Jalapeo Bacon Cheeseburger, and once I got mine I could see why.   The thick, juicy, and generous beef patty was cooked just like I asked for it (most places overcook burgers) and was very delicious.   The buns are on some sort of Kaiser Roll, and the best part was that the Jalapeos were fresh rather than being pickled.  I had a craving for a good burger and this one really hit the spot!  The burgers are around $8, which allows you to actually get out of there for about $12 with tip and a regular drink for lunch which I think is a very fair price.

The other thing that left a lasting impression on me were the fries.  You can choose from at least a couple of different kinds-- steak fries, and what seems to be a new trend in many restaurants, sweet potato fries.   I really love sweet potato fries and chose them, and I was very glad I did.   They were cooked perfectly and garnished in just a bit of salt which is all they need in my opinion to shine.

I was really impressed by The Attic as a great lunch spot, and would definitely recommend it to others.   In fact, you'll probably run into me there because I'm probably going to start becoming a regular.

I remember rolling down Pearl Street with my crew of ladies and ending up at the Attic.  Obviously the bouncer would recognize us, the crowd would know us, and life was groovy living like a rock star.  Sadly, college is over and apparently so is my fame in Boulder.  But I am OK with it and can still party like I am still in college.

Last night I went back to my college town to visit and yes, party.. it is Boulder.. and that is just how us Boulderites roll.  Things have changed and the college kids all appear younger and the bouncers are newer, but the good times, thank god, are still the same.

The Attic has strong and delicious drinks, fast service, and negotiable prices (depending on who you know).  The back of the bar is like an adult fun land with another bar and pool tables, Foosball, arcade games, darts and most importantly laughs :)

The Attic is a rare place that is equally fitting for an after-hike meal, an after-work drink, and an after-midnight party. They have great entrees (I had the pasta special after a hike up Gregory Canyon not so long ago), but really shine in the sandwich department.

They've also got one of the hippest and out-of-the-way locales in the city, and it's a nice place to hang in the evening, especially when they've got live music.

I'm a little biased here because i've grown up with this place since it started 5 years ago, but this is the ultimate neighborhood bar in Boulder.  Friday night, find me at the end of the bar ordering a shot of chilled Jack and a Coors Light.  It's the closest thing to Cheers that i've ever known in my life.  The owners are great, they really make you feel like it's your second home.  The wait staff is always nice.  Even the cooks are your friends.  Plus there's free pool in the back, which is hard to find these days...

As far as food goes, the prices are super-reasonable, and the food is consistently great.  The jalapeno corn chowder is the absolute bomb to start with.  As far as entrees, there are so many ways to go.  My favorites are the chicken caesar wrap and the B.L.T., but they just added fish and chips to the menu and that was damn good too.  Also, best fries in boulder.

Seriously, i'd like to say i go somewhere else in Boulder, but I don't.
