So my friends and i went to big bear not expecting too much. Big Bear is not know for it's nightlife, but i loved this place. Super cheap during happy hour and regular hours. The bartenders are cuties! Shout out to Josh, B-Rad AND Miley. All very cool and nice guys! I have been going to big bear for a long time and its nice to finally see a cool bar that is open past 10p.m. If you go to the Village in Big Bear show this place some love and stop by this place and have a drink.

Went here on a Monday night after snowboarding. Kudos to the bartender, for trying out his best to create the unfamiliar shot that I wanted. Also first time trying out the rainbow shot, and it's awesome!! Not to mention the second round was free. Music's good too. Will definitely go back next snowboarding season!!

Good DJ and good drinks. Seems like the place is still trying to figure itself out. But I would definitely recommend it. The best thing about this place is the staff. Everyone is trying extra hard to make you feel welcome. I appreciate that.

You know what I love to do after a 12 hour day on the slopes? Hit up the dance floor.

Any alcoholic knows that the best time to get to a bar is in the early afternoon, which is exactly what I did last week. Walking around "The Village" with my "girlfriend," I saw this place and pestered her to go in. After all, she said that she wanted to play pool and the sign outside said free pool.

So we peeked our heads in cautiously, feeling highly out of place due to the fact that there were three lonely souls at the bar who looked like extras from The Walking Dead. The rap was bumping (yeah I say bumping...so what) and I saw the pool table in the back so me and my lady walked through. Almost immediately, we were greeted by a guy (whose name I never got, unfortunately) who was the bartender, dressed in a punk rock button down and black tie with bleach blond mohawk hair. He was incredibly nice to us, informing us of the free pool and coming over to talk and get to know us a little bit. We shared a little bit of our life stories, and since my girlfriend is a light weight when it comes to alcohol (she's Asian...), the guy made a non-alcoholic drink for her that was actually really good for no extra charge. Just out of the kindness of his heart.

I drank most of it because she was afraid it was roofied.

Three games of free pool and one mug of Coors Light for only $2 later, we parted ways with the AV Nightclub, promising to return later that night. Unfortunately, a snow storm forced us to pack up our things and leave Big Bear early. Regardless, when you're in the area, check this place out for really nice people and cheap beer during the day time.

The drink wasn't roofied, in case you were wondering.

Great time! Best choice for night out if you not looking for pool and darts. Beer Pong and dancing! Not really my seen but we had a blast. Cheap stif drinks!  Ask for Milo!

My husband and I were in Big Bear with two other couples for New Year's and we were considering coming here after dinner.  My two girlfriends poked their heads in and asked the bouncer whether they could come in to look around first.  A cocktail waitress standing near the door turned and said, "No" in a rude tone.  My girlfriends were furious and we left.  I was not upset that we did not spend the evening there because it looked completely tragic and the attitude we received matched.  I did see packs of girls going in there wearing tiny mini-skirts and bare legs.  Ladies, it was 10 degrees... your desperate desire to impress one another is not worth losing days of your youth to pneumonia.  This place thinks it is the West Hollywood of Big Bear.  West Hollywood is unnecessary enough in LA... it's pathetic when replicated elsewhere.

Went there on a Tuesday "night" (5pm) for a couple drinks... Bar was empty but we ended  up staying for 4hrs thanks to the awesome bartenders!  Super friendly and they can make some randomly delicious shots... A few other people made their way in and even they looked a bit rough around the edges, turned out they were the bartenders friend and super chill.
... All in all, it's a great alternative to the hick bar (chad's) or what felt like the locals only bar (Murray's).

Place was a work in progress...nails on walls, and bartenders who talk just to hear themselves. Drink specials were pushed almost like a used car salesman. "for $10 it's like having 3 drinks in one."

DJ @ 9. Brought my 3 friends on a Sunday night. About a hand full of people at the bar. No one dancing --so of course that meant we have the floor to ourselves--score! DJ played old school rap at our request. One buff guy breaked danced the night away.Thank you *** for being our prop & escorting us across the parking lots to karoke. He even found my princess cut that fell from my right ear... Thank you to ZZ top who loaned us his flash light to scan the floor.

Chain smokers in back parking lot -- played pool (1table--quarters) & danced on the floor or a table top @ midnight. No pumpkins that night. Some headband/ bandana wearing folks wiggled with us. Thoroughly enjoyed our brief moment in time. Gotta keep your sense of humor. You're not in LA, so don't act like your from plastic land. Keep it real & ok to wear jeans, gym shoes, snow boots, & whatever makes you YOU.

Nightclub in Big Bear? Not so much haha. Decent place to go and get drinks, but I'd consider more of an upscale-ish dive bar at best. There were about three people including the bartender and bouncer when I went. Maybe when they are busier it's better.

Avalanche.  Killer happy hour and specials.  Staff only look scary- they are cool, friendly dudes.  Place had the kind of cheesy DJ lights we rented at our wedding, but that's the good kind of cheesy.  We would have stayed longer but it was a bit too warm.

This bar is clearly geared toward a "douche" community, what with the cheesy attempts at having a cool, urban looking bar and sleek seating areas, but thankfully it doesn't completely succeed b/c let's face it... this is Big Bear. At best, it gets a collection of young frat types Jagerbombing the night away.

Anyway, the happy hour is amazing, which is why I would go again, and Brad, the bartender, was very friendly and helpful when explaining what the rest of Big Bear nightlife was like. The other happy hour goers were also very friendly and laid back, so that gives this establishment the "A-OK" in my book.

Cheap drinks, a beer pong table, and some seriously loud, thumping music. Fun place, but my ears are still ringing.

Me and some friends were up in Big Bear for a bachelor party weekend.  We were mainly doing the hiking, fishing, golfing thing, but we decided to go out for a night and see if there was anything going on in town.  We went to check out Av Nightclub because when we were getting some food in town earlier the day before, the owner was out front and told us to stop by for some cheap drinks and he seemed really friendly.

We walked in and there were girls dancing on the dance floor, big screen TV's with sports on them, cheap drinks, and a pool table.  Maybe not the craziest nightclub you have ever been to, but this is in Big Bear people.  Your pickings are slim.  The owner offered us free shots and the staff was chill.

There are really only a couple other spots in town that have a night life going on so make this a stop if you are in town.
