Great spot for happy hour, especially when the weather is nice enough to sit outside! They have a huge beer menu which my boyfriend likes. The wine menu isn't as big, but they had plenty that I like so I was happy. They have great prices at happy hour and comfortable spots to hang out both inside and out. We will definitely be back!
Review Source:This incredible find especially for Happy Hour. Â Beer list is extensive and really impressive. Wines are very good and has something for everyone.
Between 4-7. Â This is a must in downtown Naples. If you get a couch near door, it is hard to leave.
Added bonus, you can order food from most nearby restaurants and eat at your seat here.
Been here many times, great service, nice people. Great atmosphere.
Oh, and good cigars if you so choose.
Our friends who live in Naples brought us here for a night of drinking and touring the local nightlife scene. It was crowded on a Saturday night but that's to be expected. It's also a cigar bar but I didn't see a lot of people smoking cigars inside or outside. They have a serious beer problem here, there are more craft beers on the menu than wines. My group went with some seasonal beers while I ordered the Torrontes for a sweet dessert. It was wonderful, a little pricey and a small pour but I enjoyed the selection. There aren't a ton of seats in here but they do have some comfy lounges and a nice outdoor patio space. Service was kind of slow and the music was really loud but the servers were friendly when we were able to get their attention. Avenue is also kind of a neighborhood place, a lot of people in there were regulars and it wasn't hard to tell who they were.
Review Source:Came here with a friend mid-week for a quick beer. Â I tried ordering a Summer Shandy and then a Bass but they had neither. Â The bartender was really helpful in suggesting other beers and even let us taste a few before I decided on one. Â
They have a nice outdoor patio and inside have fun table games like connect four and checkers. Â I played a couple games of chess with my friend on the two seaters along the wall and was able to conversate without raising my voice which was nice.
People kept coming in which was surprising for a Wednesday. Â The bartenders seemed to know most of them so I guess it's a good local bar. Â All in all, I had a good time and would definitely go back.
Metro-sexually named, Wine Cafe beckoned me from the street, but once inside, I found it to be really masculine. Â Leather chairs, humidors, two big TVs. Â The walls were an interesting gallery of the bartender slash artist's paintings of rock stars and show biz gangsters. Â Baffi did one work of a gorilla called "Industry VIP" that seems to be a direct rip of teenage skaters' icon, Shepard Fairy's Andre the Giant. Â Can't get more Guy than that. Â Even the restroom lacks a feminine touch. Â The lone window in the unisex bathroom has bars, while an open-topped basket for discarded paper towels sits perilously large in the tiny WC.
Lots of beers are on the menu, with specialty bottled beers featured. Â The wine list is respectable, but despite the establishment's name, seems to be down in priority. Â I enjoyed an appetizer of thinly sliced Barolo sausage, prosciutto, Oregon blue cheese and a smoked gruyere. Â Very enjoyable.
First time "Yelper" so bare with me during my virgin review. Â
My Fiancee and I decided to trade in the hustle and bustle of Ft. Lauderdale for the sleepier more relaxed West Coast of Florida for the weekend. After arriving early Friday afternoon to partake in the happy hour at Roy's, a few drinks at the cabana bar, and then a couple more at the hotel, we decided we should take a walk down the Avenue to find a late night place to continue our evening. She is a Yelp enthusiast and said she had read great reviews about a little wine and beer bar at the end of the strip. I work for the largest "Craft Beer" Distributorship in the state of Florida and am very passionate about GOOD BEER so when my Fiancee said they have "good beer" I was a bit hesitant in believing her hype in the quality of their selection. I am happy to let you know that this place did not disappoint and in fact exceeded many beer bars I frequent in my home town.
I would like to thank our two bar tenders/ Beer Bards, Ashley and Nilo for putting up with all my beer pretentiousness and answering any and all questions regarding new and rare products that are still unavailable in my area. They were happy to point me in the right direction and actually poured me a taste or two to get the creative juices flowing in picking out the perfect beer/ beers. They also showed the same attentiveness to my better half AKA the "Riesling Ninja" in pointing her in the right direction with a few tastes as well.  They also offered a reserve beer list which had me scratching my head in regards to how they even had some of these beers! Cigar City's Dos Costa 750ml aged on grapefruit ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? This beer has been sold out for months and was insanely priced at only  $2 more than I bought it for at Total Wine.
We finished our night on the patio talking to friendly strangers and taxi cabbed it back to the hotel. This place left us wanting more and we decided to go back for happy hour the very next day!
There are many things to be said about the Avenue Wine Bar: Great location, very good prices, amazing atmosphere, but the best part of the entire experience was the service and how welcome they made us feel.
Thank you very much and we will be back!
What a great place! Â I would say the beer selection is tops and smooth cigars too! The staff know what they are talking about and are happy to offer their suggestions based on what you tell them. If you don't like it, they will gladly find you something else and once in awhile give you a free drink. Outdoor seating area is nice and its right on the avenue, so the people watching is always interesting. Â Oh, the music is good too.
Review Source:I moved here in November and had been searching for a place with GOOD beer. I was tired of hearing "bud, bud light, michelob, michelob light, michelob ultra, coors, coors light, heineken, amstel light, yuengling...." Â Â I tried the English Pub at Mercato that had a pretty good selection of imported beers and Miller's (Naples) Beer House that added Sam Adams and a couple of others to the "bud, bud light list." Â But I'm a hop head! Â I read a review right here on Yelp that tipped me off to this place. Â As best as I can tell, it's a BEER BAR! Â And I'm very grateful. Â Ashley made wonderful beer suggestions from their LONG list of IPA's that I enjoyed while people watching. Â And at happy hour prices it was terrific!
Review Source:We discovered this gem last year while visiting. Â We loved it and decided to visit again.
The location is great to watch people walk by. The beer selection is amazing and the wine selection is good. Another great feature is the happy hour with half price beverages. Can't beat that!
I almost hate to write this review because everyone will discover our little place. It's definitely worth a visit!
Ehhh. 5th Ave just isn't what it used to be now that Mercato's here. Went here on a Saturday night and it was pretty dead. They have a huge selection of beers, but only a handful of different wines. I tried the Two Princes Riesling, which was good. Of course the prices are high being that it IS 5th ave, so that I anticipated. But if I'm paying $10+ for a glass of wine, I'd expect the glass to be ACTUAL glass and not something that I could buy at walmart for $2. The service is attentive, even if you're sitting outside. The servers are knowledgeable and are willing to answer any questions about any of the drinks.
Review Source:I have been going here for a couple months now. I used to be a generic domestic beer drinker, but, since I have been coming here, I have tried so many different, better tasting beers than what I was used to before.
Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable.
Happy hour 4-7 is awesome. Half off, so I can have 3 or 4 kickass, strong beers and get out of there with a tab of 12 bucks, or so. Can't beat that.
The Delerium is 9% alcohol. Packs a pretty god punch. $9, but HH, $4.50.
I don't really "do" 5th that much, hardly ever at all, other than the Avenue.
Great place for local and tourists alike.
This is my favorite place to spend a late afternoon or evening in Naples! It is such a wonderful place to read a book, catch a game or shoot the breeze with friends. The staff is friendly & knowledgable, the selection of wine, beer & cigars is vast and specialized. The music is eclectic & truly unique! This is an amazing & wonderful gem rarely found in large cities let alone a small beach town. A must visit for anyone traveling to Naples and soon to become a local favorite!
Review Source:I discovered Avenue Wine Cafe during a Naples weekend art festival on Fifth Ave South -- my family needed a break and we were drawn by the outdoor patio on Fifth Ave S and the couch seating area that was just freeing up. Â
Went inside to order at the bar... I know it's called 'wine bar' but first thing I noticed that their GREAT beer selection in the fridge behind the bar. Two on draught, english ale and a lighter belgian (Hennepin). Â The bartender was well versed and recommended Delirium, fantastic Belgian bottle, and then Duval for my second. Â My parents enjoyed their white wine (particularly the Chardonnay Cupcake, rich and yummy), and I liked their bubbly selection too.
I would totally come hang out here if I was a local, great place!
