I'll start by saying that that the service was excellent. Â The staff was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. Â Other than that, there is much room for improvement. Â The owner needs to decide what he wants this restaurant to be, both in terms of menu and decor. Â The menu is an odd mix of Japanese, Italian, and, of course, caviar. Â My dining companion and I opted to go Japanese. Â The food was attractively presented. The sushi was fine, but not exceptional. Â My house salad was supposed to come with ginger dressing (the main reason I ordered it) and while the dressing may have had some ginger in it, it tasted more like bottled Italian dressing. The decor is also "eclectic", which is fine, but I don't think a place that is trying to be an upscale champagne & caviar bar should have 3 tv's above the bar.
I think the prices were way out of line. For example, I ordered club soda with a splash of cranberry juice and a lime. Â Since they didn't have club soda (how does a bar not have club soda???) I had to buy a large bottle of sparkling water. Ok, I don't mind buying a large bottle of sparkling water, but they charged me $3.50 for the "splash" of cranberry juice! So, even though it was happy hour, I paid $9.50 for water!
A little pricey for my taste.  For the price, you could get twice as much caviar here: <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Ffoodfancy.net%2Fcaviar%2Fosetra.html&s=5e3b4c4dff8863adcbe069553417d93df98105621d2c9cd4bda6193edefd69c2" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://foodfancy.net/cav…</a>
