A super nice bowling alley, but we were charged $44 for 1 game of bowling for 2 people. Whaaaaaaat?!?!? Seriously?! While it is a very nice place, we won't be back. That is a serious price tag for 20-30 minutes of entertainment in Eagle, CO. Although the comment below from the bowling alley indicates that we paid for 1 hour of bowling, we were not told this and were under the impression that we paid for 1 game. Therefore, we left after our 1 game and wasted the rest of our time. Bummer! Wish the employees had communicated this to us.
Review Source:Superb comedy club venue.
All we had were drinks so I can't speak to the food. But they had a comedy show with a national headliner (who was very good). The venue for this was incredible - under 40 people, tables comfortably filled the floor but were not on top of each other. And everyone had a great view and was at most 3 tables from the comedian.
I don't know how they get someone that good up there for something so small (maybe they are trying out new material) but it's a fantastic setup.
Excellent service from the waitresses too.
Have you ever had braised beef short-ribs at a bowling alley?
Yeah, me neither - until this past weekend when the BF and I were enjoying a mellow weekend in Eagle. Â It's a pretty sleepy mountain town with not a whole lot going on in the evenings, so it was a pleasant surprise to see that this place provided food, cocktails and entertainment for the night (I'm referring to the server who was dressed like Boy George). Â And the bowling was fun too.
It was a little bit pricey - the summer Equinox special was something like $25 an hour. Â Maybe I'm just getting old, but shouldn't bowling be like $2 a game?
I suspect the music that was playing was from the aforementioned server's iPod - it was a fun mix of Lady Gaga, Beyonce and Britney. Â I approve.
On a rainy day this July, we took our 5 year old daughter here and had a blast. They play great music overhead, there are plenty of balls in every size possible, scoring is automated, food and beer is amazing. We had a plate of nachos with beef and black beans that I'm still thinking about! My daughter now wants to drag us there whenever we're in Eagle, and we readily agree!
Review Source:I loved going to the Back Bowl when I lived in Eagle. It is easily the nicest bowling alley I've ever been to. No plastic chairs here and peeling linoleum. Each lane has nice, comfortable couches and chairs. The food here is definitely several steps up from your average bowling alley food. They have great pizza and the restaurant there is so nice I have gone there to eat with no intention of bowling. The menu has quite a few options and the food is genuine restaurant quality. They also have a couple of pool tables as well as a small arcade which my daughter loved. This is definitely an upscale bowling alley, but the prices never seemed worse than any other bowling alley. Definitely a good place to spend all those cold winter evenings.
