we  stayed there for a week.
Beasuttiiful surroundings
unspeakably horrible caabins
its really a hunting outpost that hasnt been cleaned or maintained for 30 years
i rated it as if it were a family resort [as the name  implies]

We came up to Sweetwater for the day.  I have family that have been coming to Sweetwater for years and they wanted to show us their hidden mountain gem.  The draw for them is the fly fishing.  For this visit we came up for lunch and a horseback ride.

The restaurant has a homey charm about it.  There is a beautiful view of the lake when dining outside.  They have a number of hummingbird feeders and it was enchanting watching them during our meal.

The menu is basic, and the prices reflect the fact you are in the mountains.  The draw here is the scenery and wonderful hospitality.

There a a few choices in what type of horseback ride you'd like to take.  We had never done a tour before, so we opted for the hour long trail.  Bryan was our leader, and he was awesome!  Bryan was very knowledgable and quite personable.  The trail we went on had amazing views throughout.  We even got a peek at a couple of coyotes during the outing.

After our ride we came back to the restaurant to get some dessert.  They had a number if homemade pies, but we opted for sundaes to cool down.

We had a fabulous day.  The hospitality, scenery, and the tranquility will make great memories one day.
