Stopped here for a cold one and lunch on a Sunday afternoon.
The other gentleman got a taco salad, which as a nice alternative was available with grilled chicken chunks rather than just the standard ground beef option.  He stated it was excellent.  The other lady got a side salad, and an app of their fiesta poppers, which, being made with red chili peppers promised a boat load of heat which they unfortunately did not deliver.  In deference to the chef, she likes her hot stuff fire engine HOT.  They were apparently tasty, per her spouse, but just not hot.  She said the side salad was excellent, and it was  a very nice sized portion, for a side salad.
The lady and I both got burgers, she with cottage cheese, and me with onion rings. The burgers were both fine. Â Nothing to write home about, but fine. Â The cottage cheese portion size was more generous than the lady's appetite, my rings were ok, nothing great and the burgers were huge. Â I made a huge miscalculation when I ordered a double and a good portion of both went home in doggie bags.
No competition in the area to force them to put out good food. The service is so so. The food quality remains poor. Wing night- 50 cent bone in wings- spongy, slimy, and tasted like they had freezer burn before cooking. The sauce, spicy sweet, is flavorless and colorless, strange. Bags chips- supposed to be like home made thick cut potato chips, they were room temp when served and soft, liquid grease dripping off some. The manager/ owner present and making no choice to insist on quality. This was my first time back in two years, still bad. If you are visiting Amish Country and want to go to a pub you will need to drive to the Wooster area for decent food. Locals seem to be content with low quality at this establishment as the tables tend to be filled.
