This place has the potential to be so much more. The three star rating is because the burger was delicious. Cooked perfectly and super juicy. Service is often lacking at the bars (outside and inside back bar) which was very frustrating last night because it wasn't even busy inside when we got there. We asked for menus and after being ignored by all of the bartenders had to finally ask that one take our order. They know they make more money if they serve us more food and drinks, right??
It has a fantastic location especially for a summer place so if the bartenders could deliver better and consistent service, it could be a gold mine.

My hubby and I decided to stop here for lunch.  We sat outside (since the interior had an awful smell of urine) and the weather was perfect and the view was nice.  I ordered the Chicken Antonio.  It came out looking different than described in the menu (menu says brown sauce, but it was tomato sauce), but I tried it anyway.  When I tell you that this chicken was rubbery, I mean I had to really saw back and forth with a giant steak knife and put all my might into it to cut a piece off.  It was so ridiculously hard to cut off, and then to try and chew it was impossible.  I spit it out and told the waitress it wasn't edible.  I couldn't believe how bad it was.  I expected much better.  My husband said his Turkey Reuben was nothing to write home about either.  The waitress was very apologetic and I ordered some Chicken Quesadillas (filled with giant onions) instead.  They were just alright.  Nothing great.  I'm so disappointed in this place.  I would only go back to have some drinks, but I'm never ordering food from here again.

Really lousy food, don't go there to eat or have apps, just a drink with the view then go up the block to the River Market to eat. The food here was horrid, all of it.
Salmon, too fishy and not fresh. Garlic shrimp, rubbery and tasteless, even the garlic!!
spinach dip, all creme, we sent it back, GROSS.
Never again, what a shame, best restaurant view in TR.

My extended family visited this location for a late lunch/early dinner. We actually thought this was another restaurant (the previous eatery went out of business), and were pleasantly surprised to see a beautiful, new restaurant in its place!  The view is very nice - it overlooks the Tom's River and is in the heart of the town (away from the hustle and bustle of the strip centers and convenience stores). The interior of the place is decorated well with a nautical theme and there is a great deal of room within the restaurant.  A beautiful, albeit tiny, fireplace sits in an additional room surrounded by comfortable seats (with full service).  There is a bar and stage for entertainment, although I visited during the day and did not see any. Also, I will add there are a TON of televisions throughout the restaurant - I'd say 6 in one small room.  Honestly, spend that money on better quality foods and more experienced chefs... which brings me to my main concern:

The primary reason I was so disappointed with this location is THE FOOD IS NOT GOOD. You can have a prime location, a beautiful interior, a kind waitress, but if your food stinks, your restaurant does as well.  This place offers a wide selection of seafood, but because I am allergic to shellfish, I ordered a margarita pizza. Now, I've had my fair share of restaurant pizzas throughout New Jersey and most, if not all, were good (some great!). This pizza was burnt on the bottom and that taste lingered in my mouth throughout the entire dinner - bleh.  Also, when I complained politely to the kind waitress, she said "How about I bring you some parmesan cheese to kick up the flavor?"   Uh... didn't really help :(

My family ordered various appetizers (we went during "happy hour" and the appetizers were half price) and they were less than pleased with the flavor. My aunt had a crab & spinach dip that was very spicy and she couldn't finish it.  My grandmother ordered the Lobster Tail and was not happy with the flavor, quality and freshness of the fish, and the ability to eat the fish off the hard shell.

I will not be visiting again, unless the food improves!

Really happy they updated this restaurant to what it is now. Great food, good drinks, even better atmoshpere. Place tends to get packed on the weekends but that is expected.

Loved this cute spot right on the water.  We had left Seaside Heights and were on our way home and wanted to stop at a cool local spot for lunch.  We were ready to admit defeat and go to the Office next to the Parkway entrance but when we walked up to the door we saw the billboard for this place. We jumped into the car like the Dukes of Hazzard and made our way down.  You park in a public lot.  Yes, you need to pay your meter but locals told us the meter maid makes her last round at 3:30.  We had the goat cheese and prosciutto pizza (delicious!), a cheeseburger and 5 beers.  Service was great, the view better.  We will return in warmer weather to sit on that awesome outside deck and enjoy some of the amazing happy hour specials.

Awesome atmosphere and food, but the nightlife can get pretty crowded and expensive.  But that's fine with some people.  Especially since Seaside is closed, it's a pretty decent alternative.

The inside layout of this restaurant is brilliant. There's a good bar space, a lot of open dining space, and some quieter nooks for groups. We were a large group of thirteen, and we were seating in an alcove that allowed us to keep to ourselves and not disturb anyone else. Good start.

Our waitress was attentive and quick with drink refills. We ordered appetizers, salads, entrees, and bar drinks. Everything arrived as it should - and rather quickly. I would suggest trying out their specials - everyone who ordered one was extermely happy - as were the folks that ordered the pork chops. Most of the apps were okay - the calamari stood out, and the fried pickles fizzled. Having more freshly prepared options for appetizers would probably help.

For anyone who doesn't enjoy a long walk between the parking lot and the restaurant, ask to be dropped off at the door!

Arrived by boat for the first time to this restaurant. A waiter named Jay came right out to assist us tie up. The hamburgers we had for lunch were delicious. What a bargain on Tuesday's- two for the price of one!!! And when it was time to leave Jay came right out again to help us out. Looking forward to visiting there again very soon. They did a nice job rennovating this restaurant.

First time here last night and I really enjoyed it. We went later, around 10 so the patio bar and club section were already hopping. I'm not sure what it is like earlier in the evening but be forewarned that it is loud and the noise from the club can make the dining room quite noisy. I do not mind this as i enjoyed the live band, but some may be turned off. Food was great. We had a spicy crab pizza which sounded odd but was quite good. My fish and chips was only ok but my fiance's lobster tail was amazing. Service was right on par as our drinks were never empty and she could always be found if we needed something. Overall, I loved the atmosphere and most of the food so I will be back. Fyi there is limited parking, but I did see a valet out front if you wanted to go that route.

Has potential to be very good, but the food falls a little flat.  I've had some good fish sandwiches in the past but the entree I ordered this time was pretty mediocre.  The scallops weren't good, the fish seemed to have been frozen at one point, and the crab cake was full of filler.  But the beers were cold and the server was sort of nice (though she disappeared for long stretches).

Beautiful place and ambiance. Right on the water (obviously) and was told that they completely remodeled the interior. It's great! Little pricy, but overall very good food! We were sat right away, realized it was too cold to sit outside, and then were immediately sat inside, again, no waiting really. It gets kind of dark in there, I'm sure to "set the mood", but it seemed a tad but TOO dark. I do want to see what I'm eating :)  We had an absolutely FANTASTIC waiter, I believe his name was Luke. Very attentive, and I really appreciated that he asked for my sister in laws and my order before the boys :)

Worst service  ever! Wait staff and bartenders have bad attitudes. No table service in the bar. Didn't bring utensils with food. Just couldn't care less. Will never go back!

Well.... after waiting 45 minutes to be seated, we had to wait at our table another 10-15 minutes before the manager walked by and asked us if we had been waited on. She apologized and took our drink order. The waitress came by shortly after and was courteous and took our food order.
We both ordered the Apricot Chicken. Needless to say we both ate about four bites each, looked at each other and agreed it was not tasty at all. To sum the taste of it up quickly....it was bland at best!
I'll give them a second star only because they did take the cost of the dinners we didn't eat off the bill.
We should have read the prior Yelp reviews on this place.
I would have to agree with them that the place has a nice atmosphere and is good for drinks and appetizers. The food coming out of the kitchen leaves a lot to be desired.

Ate here the other night.  I haven't been there since it was the Lobster Shanty, so its been awhile.  I enjoyed the look of the place.
I had the Spicy Sausage Pizza, which was very good.
Over all:  Good Service, good food, and nice atmosphere.

Found MOLD on a nacho chip. Was told that it was residue from the blue chips.  It was green and fuzzy!!  And then was told the chips are made FRESH everyday.  Why would I believe that when they use canned cheese and canned chili for their nachos. All of a sudden you do something fresh and make the chips...  Ok...  Never going back...  And for the record, I do know the difference between blue maize and mold.

Went there on Thanksgiving day.  We all ordered the Thanksgiving meal.  It was very good, the food was just the right amount and very tasty.  The waiter was pleasant.  Will go back again.

I've been here twice. The first time was very pleasant, everything was terrific, which is why I am giving this place two stars as opposed to zero.  I was seated in the indoor area, had an older waitress (didn't catch her name, but she was great).

Based on that pleasant experience, I brought my friend from out of town for dinner a few weeks ago.  Bad service. Overall, this place has a great location and decent food.  That evening, my friend and I were seated in the outdoors area.  The place was NOT packed. We were not given bread, had to ask for it, and it seemed like I was asking for an Entree for free. We ordered the Teriyaki Steak Bites as an appetizer.  Waiter asked how we wanted cooked, we sad medium-rare and received well-done. Why even ask how we want it cooked if you're going to cook it however you want?

As for drinks, we both ordered French Martinis to start. Great. We then ordered a pitcher of the Water Street Sangria in White. Note, the description on the menu is "Water Streets Signature Recipe Loaded With Fresh Seasonal Fruit."  When it came, the "Sangria" was creamy-orange/V8 Splash looking.  It looked like the type of Jungle Juice one would drink at a college party.  I told the waiter that this does not look like white sangria and his response was "well, this is the way it comes. it's premixed and we took it out of the box like this." Umm, so THAT's the "signature" recipe? The waiter took it back, and took it off our bill. Asked for another set of French Martinis and received them in a plastic cup with about 1 inch of foam on top.

For our entree, we ordered two fish dishes- I had the wasabi encrusted tuna and my friend had the Cajun-Grilled Mahi-Mahi.  Again, the waiter asked how I wanted my Tuna cooked, I said "medium rare" and received "way way well done." I didn't want to argue because at this point, I just wanted to eat and get out of there.  Left him a 20% tip despite my friend's insistence otherwise.

I don't know if it's the same owner, but the location in Point is far superior in terms of food, drinks and service. Take the extra few minutes and drive there for better food, drinks and most importantly, service.

I have been to Water Street numerous times and while the drinks are always great and the atmosphere is awesome, I would not recommend the food.  The first time I thought it was ok, but the last time I went we ordered pizza and it came out dry and cold as if it was sitting in the back all night long. When we approached the server on it she just snubbed, asking what do you want me to do go in the back and heat it up again? We asked for our money back and left.

Like I said the drinks are great as well as the atmosphere but as far as the food and service, that needs some work.
