Food is decent. The pizza buffet is decent maybe the best in town beats Cici's and Billys old world by far. I think it was 8 bucks for the lunch buffet and they had 6-10 different types of pizza from thin crust to 1" think pan pizza. The staff kicks butt so when in the mood for pizza go to BAMBINO"S
And of course I love to save some extra cash by using Radio Shopping Show for a Certificate for Bambino's when we are eligible and can grab them :)

Pizza was good.  Got their specialty pizza.  Maybe not the best in town, but worth it if you want to mix up your routine.  I'll go back for sure.

I have really only done the lunch buffet here which I have enjoyed for years.  Unique thin crust pizza and good pasta.  Can't beat the price of $7.95.

Food is decent. You can climb the stairs or ride the tiny elevator up and walk across the building. Neither option is horrible but neither is great.. (the elevator is a bit scary). We usually grab the salad bar but have ordered off the menu a few times. Love the alfredo and the pasta dishes on the bar.. the pizza is decent.. not the best but ok.. It's good for a cheap meal but not my fav..

went there because of some reviews i read on Yelp, it was a great disappointment, first you have to climb some stairs , the entry way is gloomy, then we had to wait to be seated eventhough there were 5 people doing nothing in the kitchen. They never gave us a menu, and were pushing us towards the salad bar. So we tried it, boy oh boy, I have had better food at CICI's pizza... and that is saying a lot, if you want to be an italian restaurant and serve horrible lukewarm pizza, pasta that tastes like the one you eat at the cafeteria at school, and then the salad is not even kept cold... I will never set foot in this place again, waste of a meal, bring out the pepto bismol...

I've eaten here quite a few times, which should say something about how much I like the food!  The meatball sub is the bomb!  I also like the philly cheesesteak sandwich (best I've had in town) and can't go wrong with the simple pasta & meatballs.  Service is typically friendly, polite and prompt ... but this last time we had a young lady who was much more interested in her boy friend than us paying customers.

Nice but average pizza buffet. Crust isn't very crispy and the deep dish is blah. However, the pasta sauce is very good. Sunday lunch buffet is $7.95. Service was good for a buffet. It's upstairs in a strip mall so the neighborhood is lacking. Good blueberry and apple dessert pizza which tastes like a glorified pop tart. Very kid friendly. Just nothing special. Still looking for good pizza in the Springs.

Finally made it into Bambino's on a blustery Sunday afternoon. Place is right out of the 60s/70s - which is sometimes good and sometimes not so good.  Has that mom and pop feel, which I like.  They have what looks like a standard pizza/salad buffet all-you-can eat -option.

I opted for the ravioli, which was pretty standard, with boring, jar-tasting pasta sauce.  Their salad bar is what you would find at any basic all you can eat place (iceberg lettuce, and typical accompaniments.)

    Service was ok.

Overall, probably not a place I would return. I make better pasta and pasta sauce at home.

I have been driving by this place for 2 years now and finally just had the opportunity to stop in and eat. The place is a cute italian restaurant in the front and a sports bar in the back. We were hungry, so we sat in the dining area.

We were greeted promptly and our server was just awesome. She made recommendations and was very personable (without being obnoxious). I ordered the baked mostacciolli with marinera and was a little dissapointed. The sauce tasted like that cheap jarred stuff and there was way too much of it for my taste. My husband ordered the meatball sub which I am assuming was good because he all but annihilated it!

The bread they serve before dinner, however, is seriously delicious. I took the leftovers home- and I never do that!

Either way, we will probably be back, but next time I won't order anything with the marinera sauce on it.

Daughter & son-in-law recommended Bambino's for lunch, so five of us tried it yesterday.  It was really very nice.  Good service, friendly, nice atmosphere, and one of the better pizza, pasta & salad bars around.  Excellent choices and the restocking of the buffet went nicely to assure that all patrons had access to fresh food. Prices were very reasonable.  We'll definitely go back, as it is a place that the whole family can enjoy.

I have been there several times for the buffet pizza and pasta at lunch. The pizza is better than any of the Pizza Huts, Domino's, and Pappas. The pasta is pretty good most of the time. The price is very good.
Parking can be a pain at lunch time because it is shared with many other places.

Love this place - good food and nice environment for meetings, a quick bite and family dining.  The salad bar is a drawback but then again it is just a basic salad bar and most people don't go to a Italian eatery and want salad.

I recently visited family in Colorado and ate out a ton while I was there. Having previously lived in the Springs I recalled eating at Bambino's with my Dad and loving the heck out of it so that was the first placed we hauled the crew out to for lunch.

We just missed the buffet, but I am not a huge pizza buffet fan anyway so I was kind of glad and excited to order off the menu.

Some things had definitely changed. Years before meals were always started with a fresh bread basket and a dish of extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar. I really missed that little touch.

I had a half calzone and my mom had a different half calzone and we shared so we could try both flavors. They were good and the food is certainly fresh and filling, but I felt like it lacked a little oomph. My mom felt the same way and we both added salt to our calzones. I loved the ricotta in them, though, it was a delicious addition.

My kids both ordered off the kiddie menu and the portions were huge. My daughter complained that the spaghetti was too spicy and wouldn't finish it. Normally she can handle a medium level spicy salsa no problem so I was really surprised at her issue with something as seemingly tame as marinara.

My sister had a pizza that looked great, but i didn't try any. The Italian ice for dessert was great, but the canoli was rock hard. Skip that if you're thinking about it.

Service was courteous and prompt and overall we had a nice time.

Wow - people really love this place and I'm not just talking about Yelp reviewers! Bambino's has sort of been an Italian staple of Colorado Springs for as long as I can remember. As of late, I've visited twice and it's always packed. Locals seem to genuinely love this place. Twenty years ago when I was growing up here there were two locations; the one on Circle which remains today and a west side location. I guess, not as much love on the west side.

Bear in mind the following while reading my review of this beloved COS eatery: I struggle with Italian restaurants, I can never seem to tell the difference between a bowl of pasta from Maggiano's or one I boil myself and pour Ragu over. With the obvious disabled Italian palette I possess, paying $15-20 for what seems to me, across the board simple to reproduce at home, is hard to justify. My boyfriend seems to disagree and so we frequent the local non-chain Italian joints from time to time.

Bambino's scores points for their generous portions and slim price tag as well as the fresh hot forcetta bread that comes with an order. I also love the "make your own pizza" on the kids menu. That being said, everything I've ever ordered is bland and the salad bar begs to be dragged outside and shot.

Love this place! The calzone's are to die for! We have been going to Bambinos for 14 years and have never had a bad or inattentive waitress, always supurb service!!

$7.95 for an all you can eat pizza/ pasta/ salad/ soup buffet?! Not only isn't one of the best deals in town, but the quality is what shines. The buffet offered 10 different kinds of pizza, including dessert pizza with an incredible chewy crust. The pasta is ok, but the salad offers a lot of fresh options to top your salad off with. Those who love variety in their pizza in one sitting won't be disappointed.

Suggesting the Bambino's Calzone, full order just because it is so awesome. A+++++++

I ended up trying out Bambino's lunch buffet and need to hand out an extra star for them! Lunch is quite a deal with an endless variety of pizzas (the spinach alfredo pizza with roasted garlic is craving-inducing!), chicken wings in a couple flavors, a full salad bar with all the extras and multiple pasta dishes. All that is served up with a friendly waitstaff for a perfect lunch break. I'll be back for this one!

I have been going to Bambinos since I was little. They have very tasty deep dish pizzas and a great salad bar. Honestly, I am so in love with the pizza, I haven't tried many other things from the menu. This is a wonderful place that has stayed consistent and yummy over the years.

I love this place!  Every time I pass through Springs, I have to stop here for their buffet.  If anything, I recommend the Spinach Alfredo pizza.  It's thin crust with a layer of alfredo sauce, mushrooms, spinach, and sliced garlic beneath the melted cheese.  It's to die for!  The salad bar is small, but it contains decent choices.  The apple dessert pizza is a winner!

The view from the dining area is great and so is the service.

I ordered the large Bambino special calzone for pick up.  It was more like half a pizza - no fold over at all.  The ingredients were fresh but seemed undercooked.  It seems there definition of an actual calzone is very different than what they serve in Europe and especially Italy.  Blah!

Food is 5 stars, service is 4 stars and location is 2 stars (great views though). Skip the buffet. Italian fries are great but were even better back when the Old CS and N Academy locations were open in the 80s. The Sicilian deep dish pizza is the best deep dish in CS.

Family Style Italian. Food is OK. Good place to bring people with big appetites and kids.

I have fond memories of Bambino's from when I was kid. I especially loved the North Academy location which unfortunately was shut-dizzown.

Nonetheless, fear not: there is still a Bambino's on Platte near the Citadel mall. The great thing about this place is the view, which shows a nice, let's say 130 degree view of Pike's Peak and the surrounding area.

The food here just isn't as good as the other locations, but the view and nostalgia give this place its 4th star.
