Bananas Comedy Club

It's a good thing that the comics were funny, because the room sucked. The clubs seems to be in what is the ballroom/conference room of the hotel. There was an overhead light at our table that blinked like a strobe (before the show) and it took a while to be able to get anyone who worked there to take care of it. Trying to get our waiter over to order drinks was another experience, twice he brought the rest of the table and forgot mine. The acoustics were horrible and the PA's were up too loud for that small of a space. Lastly, they handed out these plastic champagne glasses near the end of the show - too bad they ran out of champagne before getting to our table and the one next to us. All in all, I wouldn't bother making the trip again.

I saw Brian Reagan here a number of years ago.  I was behind a beam so it was a little hard to see.  You get seated with other folks, but once the show starts that doesn' t much matter.  They have waitresses running around to take drink orders and they seem competent.

The  drawback is that it's basically in the 'great room' or conference room of a hotel.  It used to be a Best Western hotel but it is not any more.  I don't know what it is, but it's not a chain I  recognize.
The room is a little dingy, but it doesn't matter, if the comedian is good!

I love this place.  Being from NYC I wasn't sure I wanted to spend $$$ on a suburban area comedy club thinking I had to buy like 3 drinks plus a front door cover charge.

However, this place is nothing like a NYC comedy club.  You pay the front door cover charge and you can sit there and enjoy the show not worrying about having to buy tons of stuff.  They actually leave you with money in your pocket so that you want to spend some money.

Acts vary though I've loved the hypnotists they've had so I keep an eye out for those guys when they come.  This comedy club really rocks!
