The beer is COLD!  I like a place with cold beer on tap, big tv's, greasy and tasty bar food, and pool tables!  What makes this place even better, it is in a casino!  On my multiple visits the food was always good and the service was friendly!  I would definitely go back to Bar 24 again!

We only came here because of the "no cover/ ladies drink free" sign we spotted on an afternoon walk.

So our group of 14 (guys and girls) came to Bar 24 around 10pm. There was no cover for the guys either, and we were able to quietly pass some drinks to them, so that worked for everyone. We didn't stay long because everyone wanted to look for a "real club" (in Tahoe?) but the half hour or so we hung out at Bar 24 was great.

The free drinks are well-drinks and domestic beers.

This place just tries way too hard.

Interior seems ok, very spacious, but that's probably because we were the only people in there (on a Saturday night during march madness).  That should have been more of a warning.

It's nice they're trying to play up the beer selection in their name (24 beers available), but I really don't enjoy drinking out of a plastic cup.  It took me back to house parties with of kegs of Milwaukee's Best in college.  I'm so over that.  Plus they don't serve in normal beer sizes - what happened to a pint?  They had weird sizes like small, large etc.

Food was mediocre.  In fact mediocrity was the overall vibe of the place.  Had the burger and nachos.  Very blah.

Nothing stands out as super terrible, but I definitely won't be going back.

I never knew that Bar 24 serves food but I still wouldn't want to try even know that I know. I've been there only for Ladies Night on Fridays.  Ladies drink free well drinks and domestic beers; it doesn't make this place awesome but it helps.  The place usually gets packed early and empties out early when everyone gets drunk enough to wander to more interesting and exciting places.

While I am happy to see that the infamous pool tables at Bill's have returned to the casino inside Bar 24, it isn't quite enough to draw me down there frequently.  Bar 24 is the redesign on what was previously just a big pit full of tables with a large big screen where they show major fights.  Nothing is really any different except that the pool tables are now in there, it has a fancy lounge-y name and sometimes, a cover charge.  If you are in the casino corridor and want something to do that doesn't involve gambling, it's a viable option.  I, however, am not the frequent casino goer and thus I won't be returning often.

South Lake Tahoe has its own thing going on, which you're probably aware of. What that thing is, well, that I don't know. But that's another story.

We were looking for buffalo wings and a burger, sans smoke, and Bar 24 fit the bill. The service was really bad, but put into context with the other places we visited, it was ok. Buffalo wings were what they should be, and the burger was a 5 out of 10.

The crowd was awesome, of course. I mostly just stared and listened as much as possible. I also suggest checking out the security guard at Bill's Casino. He's right outside the restaurant to the right and he may have a serious Elvis issue, that takes every other person's serious Elvis issue and makes it look like child's play.

All in all, a decent spot to get ok bar food and a beer, without the smoke.
