  TUFFEST steak I ever had could NOT eat it couldn't even cut it with a knife !! and it was under cooked !! bloody !! RAW in some spots UNEADDABLE !! wast of money !! will not go back !!

  In route back to Phoenix, we decided to stop in Monahans, TX to eat. Monahans does not have a lot to offer, especially if you are looking for something to appease a family of 5 with fussy eaters. We clearly missed the land of opportunity when we passed Odessa.
  
  We were pleasantly surprised. My son and husband had a great steak, I selected the salad bar stocked with a good variety to include steak and vegetable soup, hot beans, fresh salad fixings, and bread puddinga, and my little ones had streak fingers.  Everyone got a great meal for $50 total. Great service to boot!

  Had the lunch special - the cowgirl ribeye - it was okay, but nowhere near outstanding. This is the middle of nowhere, though, so some slack may be due.
  
  Watch out for the salad bar - whacked my knee on one of the wagon wheel hubs and it was quite painful.

  Had lunch at the Bar-H with the SO and his boss. Experienced the longest wait for a special. I think our waitress either forgot or lost our order, as I saw people seated after us get their meals before us. I had the special - top sirloin with sides. The steak was tasty but not a great piece of meat (a little tough and fatty).  The SO had the hamburger steak with gravy. We both had baked sweet potatoes with little cups of brown sugar and cinnamon to add - YUM!
  
  I did ask if they were unusually busy at lunch, and the person at the register told me that this was unusual and may have accounted for the long wait and delay in receiving our food. I will probably give this place another shot before I make up my mind about this place.

  I had the steak sandwich I cut the steak to facilitate eating it. It was decent. I also had the saladbar. It was decent for Monahans, Tx. Probably one of the best places in town.
