I love everything about Bar Louie. From their food, drinks, beer selection (they always have my favorite flavors of Woodchuck) and the music. I even love the fact that they stay open until 2 a.m. no matter what. I never thought that we would have a  sophisticated spot in Flint where you can take a friend or date to have great drinks, food and ambience all in one place. Oh and did I mention reverse happy hour from Sunday to Thursday where drinks and food are half off after 8? Like I said, I LOVE BAR LOUIE.

Love the happy hour specials - $3 Pints!  And what a great beer selection to choose from at that price.

This is a favorite of mine when I travel to Flint. Observing the crowd mix (ladies)is usually worth whatever food you purchase. Tonight however, it was really slow. I was early and had the great happy hour specials. I had Chicken Quesidillas and also the Tri Chips. Nothing to write home about, but all drafts including local micros were $3 and the apps I had were half off. Four great Founders beers and two appetrizers for $15. How could I go wrong.

My favorites here are the pretzel sticks and wings. both cannot be beat.

I visited this bar on a Saturday night with a friend. It was not crowded and there was plenty of places to sit. The place has a great atmosphere for 20-30 somethings and the music isn't too loud to talk over.

Now to my main point; I specifically created this yelp account to say that I loved and I mean LOVED their "small plate" nachos. Easily the best nachos I have had in years. They are generously portioned with heaps of chicken, Guac and sour cream, yet they are not soggy. I'm getting hungry just thinking about them now. If you are looking for good nachos, this is the best place in Flint.

While the atmosphere was upscale, the choice of drinks is less than I'd find in a neighborhood beer bar.  For someone accustom to an upscale bar, pass on this one.

Constantly out of full bodied beer (IPA,Porter, etc.- 4 of my last 5 visits).  You think they would realize that those kegs are out because people are ordering these great Michigan brews!  It is almost like they do it on purpose, to sell you a beer with more profit margin.  I left without eating.  Where is the profit in that?

Fun place to hang out after work.... Nice beer selection and the food is good. A little pricey for this area but not outrageous.

Horrible service! We had to seat ourselves, which is ridiculous to begin with. Then, after sitting and waiting for at least 15 minutes without any acknowledgement from multiple servers walking past our table, we decided to leave. We were blatantly ignored and not even served water. Therefore, we just got up and left and decided to eat at Olive Garden, which had incredible service. I'll never go back to Bar Louie again!

Bar Louie is my favorite place on Miller Road in Flint.  They have great appitizers, a huge beer selection, and probably my new favroite thing in the world - Loaded Tater Tots.

I have friends and co-workers who really don't like this place, but I really love just about everything I get there.

I know they have great happy hour specials on apps and drinks.

Great place for groups - lots of open space for big groups with people coming and going, nice booths to hang out for an evening with some friends, or a really big bar for catching a game.  Great outdoor seating that I look forward to taking advantage of once the state thaws out in June.

    One of my Flint favorites.

Bar Louie was our escape over the weekend from the in laws. The sister in laws and I headed there Saturday for "break" in the family action. What I can say is good selection of spirits, very good food and open airy atmosphere.
However, I thought it was a tad pricey for Flint, and I thought  the service was hit and miss considering there were only maybe 10 people in the place.
I also thought it was weird that our server asked us if we were sure after every drink we ordered.  Um yeah, I'm pretty sure that is what I want.  I said.
Bar Louie is good but I think we'll keep searching and use it as our back up bar...

THE BEST BEER SELECTION IN FLINT!

Sorry for yelling. Yea, its pricey depending on your income. Just show up for happy hour with your broke ass. $3 pints. Although, something tells me the staff is trained to slow down on serving you after you have had too many happy hour drinks

Definitely an upgrade to Flint's choices of late night spirit-inspired socialization. Large, open, high-ceiling'ed space is a nice change from hallway-sized back-alley bars. A little pricier but offers more than a hamburger and fries to eat. Good enough to have dinner with a date, AND stay for drinks.

yummy drinks!  best nachos ever (my opinion of course) and fantastic selection of beer on tap that is unheard of in Flint, MI.
The atmosphere is great, the people are always really nice, and quick.

The downside, it's a little pricey.  But on the other hand, the prices bring a different group of people out and about that tend to stay in there "suburban" locals (haha) and the riff raff stays out.

Overall, it's my fav place in flinttown to meet up with friends, have a few drinks and some good food.

I like Bar Louie for its ambiance and its great beer selection. It's the only place around town where I've found Founders or New Holland Brewing Co. on tap.

It's a nice place to meet someone and have a drink or meet for dinner. I've had dinner at Bar Louie a few times and I was never disappointed. The Thai stir-fry I had once (not at this location though) was amazing and I've had a few burgers that were pretty good.

The place is rather pricey, so be warned. One of the upsides of it being not so cheap is that it attracts a different crowd than the regular bar fly, which can be quite refreshing in Genesee county :-)

Bar Louie, you're so cute. And you're connected to the mall. And you stay open late. But I know you didn't charge $8 for that teeny martini!

This is the new restaurant that went in when Genesee Valley had its last remodel. Pretty good food, although it's a bit on the pricey side -- about $9 or $10 for just sandwich/burger + fries. Not sure if it's worth it, but there are some upsides... perfectly seasoned fries, a delicious pear salad, and one of the biggest slices of carrot cake I've ever seen in a single serving.

Pros: large booths and tables, great ambiance, very spacious.

Cons: the service can be unbearably slow.. on my last visit, we had to wait 40+ mins for the entrees to come out. however, the server made up for it by offering us free dessert, so all was forgiven.

I'd come here if I was meeting up with friends for a drink and didn't want to smell like the bar afterward, or for a nice dinner after a day of shopping.
